Pleuritic Pain and Severe Asthma
I have
severe
asthma
and am exceptionally prone to chest infections as I don’t clear my chest very well normally. I have had 3 lots of antibiotics for chest infections since January. I’ve had a bad cold that I’m trying to hold off from becoming a chest infection.

Just started Couch to 5K but hindered by my asthma. Any tips?
My
asthma
isn’t
severe
. I’m usually not that impacted by it in daily life and haven’t had a full blown attack for about 20 years now (I’m 52). I’m hoping some people might be able to advise me on how to do running when you have asthma. Is it possible? Any tips?

Dehydration and asthma
I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about dehydration and worsening of asthma symptoms? I have the bad habit of not drinking much, if at all, during the day. Some days I drink maybe two glasses of water. Trying to be more healthy, and working on drinking more. I have noticed my asthma symptoms

Do we have to isolate or not?
I’ve looked on the NHS website and it says if you have
severe
asthma
. Well that’s open to interpretation as I got told they don’t use the term brittle
asthma
anymore, they call it
severe
, so is mine severe or not?

Recent weather affecting asthma/
Hello all, I am new to this forum so hi there and apologies for the perhaps longer post. I am interested to know if this very high pollen in the UK (highest for 70 years apparently) has had an impact on their asthma, more than normal hayfever? For me, my asthma has got significantly worse over the last

Colostomy due to Ovarian Cancer
Has anyone had to get an ostomy because of a tumor? If so how long did you have it? Was it permanent or reversed? Are you done with treatment?

Stopped smoking, my asthma a nightmare
Hi everyone, I am an asthmatic, I stopped smoking the 24th of November 2019.....so it is just over 5 month ago, my asthma has always been light, I used to use salbutamol ( the blue inhaler, the reliever ). I was told years ago I had to use the brown preventer inhaler twice a day morning and evening but

Swollen/closing throat question
Hi, I wanted some advice from other asthma sufferers. My asthma has recently returned and not particularly under control, mainly due to hayfever. I had a 5 day course of prednisolone 2 weeks ago. Today my throat really felt like it was closing and my cough got a lot worse. I feel like I have stuff on

Completed another consolidation run yesterday...still hate love running
A couple of you know the struggle I have had with
asthma
and
severe
hayfever/sinuses. I, basically, am not built to run. However, I think it is one of the greatest achievements I have had is graduating from C25K.

Should I be shielding ?
Hi everyone 👋 So I have had asthma since I was about 3. The last three years my asthma has gotten worse. In 2016 I has a nasty pneumonia that developed and was hospitalised for 5 days and spent weeks off of work recovering. It took me about a year to feel someone normal and I've been hospitalised once
