Floundering and unsure. Need help and advice please.
I am under the
severe
asthma
clinic at my local hospital. My asthma is steadily getting worse. I have had to leave my job in pharmacy as I kept having flare ups and attacks resulting in A+E visits.

Wine struggle?
Does anyone experience worsening of their asthma after drinking white wine? It’s happened to me twice this week. I didn’t think anything of it until the last asthma episode.

Asthma May Not Be a Major Risk Factor for COVID-19
When the CDC named underlying medical conditions that might make a person vulnerable to the coronavirus, asthma made the list. But early evidence appears to show asthma doesn’t raise the risk of getting the virus, though both conditions are lung disorders. In New York state, the epicenter of the pandemic

'Insanity' workout and eosinophilic asthma?
Hi all, so I have
severe
eosinophilic
asthma
- I take a lot of meds to control it and am awaiting possible biologics once covid is over with. I have been shielding for 7-8 weeks now and I'm starting to worry how much lack of exercise I am getting.

Has Anyone Had Any Texts Saying To Stop Shielding?
Apparently they went out last Friday and some with
severe
asthma
are coming off the shielding list.

My symptoms began truly way back at 8 year old, my first period landed me in hospital. I suffered massive traumas, abuses at the hands of several pervert men, abuses from parents, bullied etc... how i made it this far is beyond me. Edit: These abuses were in childhood and are for context that i suffered

Bronchiectasis and asthma.
Hi everyone, I have fairly
severe
asthma
, and mild bronchiectasis. I also have silent reflux and osteoporosis. I've had a flare up of asthma and my bronchiectasis and am just coming to the end of 3 weeks of Azithromycyn. I'm still coughing and occasionally wheezing.

Asthma vs Anxiety vs Breathing Pattern Disorders
Hi all It’s a very stressful time at the moment, with some people shielding, others worried about work and how to apply the new rules and regs, and still others struggling with after effects of covid etc etc. There are a million and one things people may be anxious over and stressing about right now

Post Covid Asthma won't settle
Hi, this is going to be a long one. I came down with suspected Covid at the end of March. Previous to this my asthma was well controlled on fostair 4 x 100/6, ventolin as needed (once a month or less), dymista and cetirazine. I've been on this lot for about 7 years with the occasional issue after respiratory

Why seretide is the first course of action for asthma...Why not some steroid free treatment to start with?
Hi everyone! I am new to asthmatic life! My issue started with heart palpitations and acidity, got nexium then later I started feeling SOB, initially Dr. Said it's bronchitis and then gerd induced asthma and now asthma. My question is that do I need to stay on seretide course because I cannot differentiate

When To Take Medications
Evening fellow asthma friends. Question. I am on Symbicort 200/6. I take one puff in day and one puff in eve. The doctor tells me I have six remaining puffs to play with as needed. What does as needed mean? Whenever I feel any asthma symptom? The problem with that is I often feel asthma symptoms that

Asthma UK's update on "no longer needing to shield" texts
If you’ve not had one of these texts, which should be the vast majority of people with
severe
asthma
who are shielding, then you should continue to follow the stay-at-home guidance until the end of June.

Mouth breathing in asthma?
Hi all, just wondering how many of you find you breathe through your mouth as opposed to your nose a lot/most of the time? It's something I've grown up doing and I'm not sure whether it's common in asthma or just a bad habit I started in childhood.

Weird new allergies and non-allergic asthma
I have
severe
non-allergic, non-eosinophilic
asthma
, but also have hayfever - which is a bit weird but I have read up on it and it's possible; seems to be mainly trees.
