Alternative to seretide????
Hi everyone. I just wondered if there is an alternative to seretide. I used to be on symbicort but that gave me the shakes really badly so I went onto seretide. It works great for me but unfortunately it's really affecting my vocal cords even though I'm taking it through a spacer. I was at the docs about

Becotide and serevent vs seretide and symbicort
Just wondered if anyone new much about all of these. I used to be on becotide and serevent a couple of years ago and don't recall having any complaints with it but was then put on symbicort which was ok but made me shake a lot. I then moved house and doctors and saw the asthma nurse there who said

Hello, I’ve recently been diagnosed with asthma and my asthma is not controlled on an inhaled corticosteroid. I’ve also struggled to use the device properly. Has anyone had experience of fixed dose combinations (Seretide and Symbicort I believe they are called) and

Fed up :(
Angel65 16 Apr 12 1:28pm
In bed with yet another chest infection. Ended up in a&e and went through the familiar routine of nebulisers, steroids and antibiotics. And all because I caught another cold! It's only April yet this is the second time I've fallen ill this year. Been taking seretide religiously

Seretide as opposed to taking Flixotide and Serevent
Hi I take Seretide 250mcg (2 puffs am & 2 pm). My friend takes Flixotide 250mcg and Serevent 25 mcg (same dosage). Are we actually taking the same? Any feedback appreciated. Carla

New to forum but need advice
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma about five years ago (mild) but it has increasingly worsened since then. I had a hospital stay for five days about three years ago and several A&E visits since. After losing a few stone and going to the gym four times per week, my asthma improved but since September

Scared
Hi everyone, I've been asthmatic since I was 3 and although I've had bad episodes, they have been nothing like what I've experienced this year. At the begining of April I was hopsitalised for 3 days and I really thought I was a gonner. It was the first time I ever needed an ambulance to get me there

Chest infections, how many infections is too many!!!
Hello, I was diagnosed with adult asthma around 2 years ago now after a bad chest infection which I believe triggered it. In the past year I have had 4 chest infections, the first was my first infection since diagnosis and, not realising and not seeing the build up, i left it quite late and needed

seretide 50/500
Hi guys, just had my annual Asthma check, unfortunately my asthma not being controlled, as I have been using Ventolin reliever a lot more. Was on one puff twice a day, and have got to increase to 2 puffs twice a day, I did question the face that I thought I was on maximum dosage for my age and weight

Hoarse voice on seretide
Know there have been lots of posts on seretide but have searched and can't see the answer to my question. I have been on Seretide 250 accuhaler for the last month. It seems to be helping my asthma but I have had a hoarse voice on and off. I know this is a recognised side effect, but can't quite tell

Achey legs & muscle cramps
At the end of last year, I was on Seretide 250/25 2 puffs twice a day, but as I wasn't getting ANY asthma symptoms, I thought I'd reduce it (as my asthma nurse had suggested at my last review) to 1 puff twice a day. I stayed at this dose for a week or so and had no problems. So then I went to my Seretide

Just prior to discharge was prescribed Seretide bd and Salbutamol qds (this drops to prn after the weekend). I am washing my mouth out after the Seretide, as was warned about thrush, but constantly have
