Asthma and pregnancy
OMG! have just found out I'm pregnant! Sooo excited! Luckily have a routine appointment with the asthma nurse this week so will be able to discuss it with her. I'm on seretide and singulair at the moment - had a big flare up before christmas and started the singulair which has made an amazing difference

struggling a lot first thing on a morning. ***NOT URGENT***
for the last week or so, I've been struggling a lot first thing on a morning, my peak flow has been around 55/60% after salbutamol. I'm really tight and I'm aching a lot around my shoulders for about an hour and half, two hours after waking up. I'm on seretide 500, it's horrible and frustrating waking

another discontinued inhaler grrr!!
I wonder if anyone can offer any advice. The salbutamol and Beclamethesone cyclohaler I was happily using has to my annoyance been discontinued, this has happened to me before with the rotahaler. I find using dry powder capsules the best form of medication for me. I have recently started using a seretide

Asthma - making me fat and unhappy
Hello all, I'm new to the forums so thanks for reading my post. Basically, I've had asthma since I was a baby (now 21) and had it reasonably well controlled first with nebs and then just inhalers. However over the last 10 months it has got a LOT worse - gone from mild symptoms to almost constant wheezing

Persistent oral thrush
Hi. Has anyone else suffered with oral thrush? This is the 3rd time I've had it and it's really getting me down. I lose my voice with it as well as having sore white patches in the back of my mouth/throat. The last 2times I've had it I've had a weeks course of tablets which do clear it up but it comes

Smoker in my group
Hi I'm a newbie...only diagnosed last July. I'm still not properly controlled. I'm on Seretide 250 4 puffs a day and montelukast. One of my problems is that the group I go to every week has a member who is a smoker. She always has a cigarette just before coming into the room. As soon as she comes

Singulair / Aminophylline side effects
Has anyone else experienced side effects from these drugs? Ive been on both these tablets for about 3 weeks now and feel awful on them. They have helped me breathe easier but I'm constantly tired, have headaches, can feel my heart pounding and have a sore throat. Not sure which tablet is making me feel

Seretide
I am getting increasingly worried about being on Seretide even though my doctor has told me that there is nothing to worry about. I have been taking it for over 5 years and even though I feel good most of the time now and feel it has affected my fitness. ( do go to the gym regularly).I often get pains

Is anyone else's voice affected by their inhalers, etc?
Hi there,Over the last 2 years, my voice has got hoarser & croakier, and now I (literally) sound like a 60-a-day smoker. I'm a 27-year-old woman, so it's not attractive!I've been told by a couple of people that my inhalers could have caused this problem, as they are both powder-based. I'm wondering if

I'm an idiot, but..
I'm an idiot and I haven't been taking my purple inhaler for a week or so; due to being ill, having no energy, sleeping a lot and a few other issues. my chest is starting to feel nasty again - how long will it take for seretide to start building back up in my system?
