Does anyone find taking the above causes heavy colds first thing in the morning. Also I seem to be gaining quite a lot of weight since I was changed to these instead of Seretide. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Different inhaler
Hi ive now been taken off seretide 250 1puff twice a day and put on fostair with a spacer 2 puffs twice a day. Is there a big difference between the 2 inhalers or is it a case of what suits the person .

Are peak flow readings necessarily reflective of asthma condition?
Hi folks- perhaps I should know the answer to this so please accept my apologies for being a numpty.... My reason for asking is that I woke up wheezing this morning - as is normal for me at some stage (s ) of the day- and have also been coughing and wheezing since-relieved thankfully by my inhaler-

Reducing meds
Just wondered what the criteria for reducing meds as I'd like to be off the seretide that I'm currently taking. I use my ventolin about 2 times a week and whenever I exercise. I'm not due to see the gp for another 3 months but my action plan is due for review. Would the doctors contact me to update

Is Seretide causing more problems than the asthma?
Hi everyone, I'm interested to hear your views on Seretide. After some great advice from this forum, I am on my way to getting my acid reflux a bit better controlled. I changed a lot of my diet and find that I can now keep a lot of the acid away with Rennies. I always wondered if there was a link to

Wondering about inhalers and asthma exacerbation.
Hello all, Thankfully, have not had an asthma exacerbation whilst on the new inhalers -ciclesonide and seretide. Had a sinus problem and used my ventolin then and all was well. Was wondering if like with my old inhalers I could up the dose of these if I did have a bad asthma exacerbation. Previously

re visit to asthma nurse
Hi all I just been to see my lovely asthma nurse. I was put on flixotide after being on seretide for 3 mths following an asthma attack. I did ring asthma uk before I went to get things clear in my mind. They were brilliant as per usual and came to the same conclusion as my asthma nurse if not as long

Withdrawal of some inhalers !!! Seretide etc corticosteroids ones,
What a shock to read they are to be stopping some corticosteroids, due to them bringing about infections ! Has anyone else read this ? What are the side effects of inhaled corticosteroids? Using ICS especially in high doses for a long amount of time can lead to an increased risk of side effects such

Unexplained breathlessness
Hi, I've got breathlessness exacerbation now, tried to phone hospital for a few weeks for respiratory clinic cancellations, there weren't any. It all started about 6 years ago after a cold, had chronic cough for 4 years and then it was replaced with breathlessness which I've had for 2 years or so

My first post
I was diagnosed with mild COPD in 2009 and given a steroid inhaler, Seretide. My COPD is now moderate and I have just had my inhaler changed to Spiriva which is leaving a nasty taste in my mouth so I am not sure about it so far. My GP wants everyone to stop taking steroids if possible. I have never

New asthma sufferer. Any advice?
Hi all, I've only had asthma for 6 months and would appreciate any advice at all. It's hard to find information that's useful and it seems everyone has different symptoms. After 6 months of illness and severe coughing fits, I suffered a collapsed lung and spent a week in hospital. I was given seretide
