Hi
They both use different ingredients, suitability could be by personal preferences, they are both long acting combination inhalers.
Because we are all different, saying one was better than the other may be difficult. The only way is try one for a month and see how you feel
I change from Seretide to fostair NEXThaler under the supervision of my respitory team, after a months trial I reported back to the respitory nurse, found it to be more suitable. There would have other alternatives if I was not satisfied.
Stone is right. Best to remember that both of those are called 'peventives'. IE you take them twice a day 12 hours apart.
Both contain steroid.
Seretide comes in different strengths, 125, 250 and 500. The latter being the strongest. Dunno if symbicort does as well.
The blue inhalers, the 'relievers' are the ones you take as and when you need to open up the airways quickly.
I can't imagine why Mendy's doctor said inhalers don't work because they do. They're lifesavers for many many people.
I can only imagine she meant they weren't right for her husband on that occasion.

That s the same as me. I'm happy with the change at the moment x
