Inhaler changes
My GP is replacing my Seretide Accuhaler with something called Airflusal because 'it's cheaper'. He swears it's no different and I won't notice any changes. But I'm worried. Aside from the saving of costs to the surgery, I'm worried that although the steroid component will be the same, the long acting

Fostair instead of Seretide
Can anyone tell me more about Fostair as I have just been changed to it from seretide, but having read up about side effects I am not very happy, as two bad interactions are possible with two of the heart drugs I take. Also I was told that I was not eligible for oxygen as my SATs and lung function were

Switching back to seretide?
Anyone had any luck switching back to seretide? I was on it for years (250 midi 2-4 puffs twice daily) it's been the best inhaler I've tried, my chemist changed it to 'sirdupla' (worked ok but harsh on my mouth) still had a few problems though so went back to gp who started me on monkelust about 3 months

New to the forum!
Hi there - new to the forum but really having a bad time with my asthma just now. I've had asthma all my life. I've had 3 asthma attacks that have required hospitalisation in the past (one as an adult) and my asthma has been fairly well controlled otherwise. I have related eczema and other allergies

WTF! Completely floored after seeing the consultant today
I've just come back from the GP/Consultant today. I'm pretty angry to say the least-having seen the consultant previously and him saying he's not certain but is thinking I have brittle asthma, he's now saying he doesn't think i'm asthmatic, doesn't have any idea what my presentation is about or what

Can Seretide cause digestive problems?
Apologies for this not being the most pleasant of posts! I've been making great progress with my acid reflux, cutting out several trigger foods (tomatoes, onions, chilli), although I'm still burping a loooot after eating. Strangely, since the acid has calmed, I've been getting point tenderness in my

Hi, I keep asking my consultant if I can try any other inhalers and he always says, ' they are all the same' . Did anybody swap seretide to another inhaler and notice any improvement ?

Seretide vs Symbicort
Hi just looking for some advice I have been taking Seretide 250/25 (2 X 2 per day) together with other medication and have largely had my symptoms under control however I have a constant problem with losing my voice. My doctor has suggested switching to Symbicort - has anyone switched for similar reasons

Denied my repeat prescription of flixotide
The pharmacist took it upon himself to contact my dr and refuse my flixotide prescription as I'm taking seretide as well. My specialist prescribed it 18 months ago so it's not a new thing. I've now got to see the practice pharmacist on Thursday and there's no guarantee I'll be able to get it again

Disappointing..
Hospital appointment was a total disaster. They had lost or erased my scanner CD so Dr. Lazor was unable to give an opinion on the LAM. I could see nobody had read my file. The young intern was more concerned with my post nasal drip. I said I had had an endoscopy that I had no polyps and was diagnosed
