Beta Agonist Reliever that does not cause reflux
Hi has anybody had indigestion or reflux issues with their reliever and successfully swapped it for one that does not? I have used Seretide (combination), Ventolin and Serevent and they all no give me reflux. They never used to but they do for sure now.

I'm new here
I had asthma as a child, seemed to grow out of it as a teenager but in my thirties it started up again. I take Seretide everyday as a preventer and rarely use my blue reliever. The worst problem is spray air fresheners and perfumes, while they smell nice they start me wheezing and reaching for my Ventolin

Is Fostair as good as Seretide
I was recently moved over to fostair after years of controlled asthma using seretide. I had a bad chest infection a couple of weeks ago despite having a daily dose of chlarythromicin, also for a few years. I'm a lot better now but find that I need a puff of Salamol to clear chest after taking my fostair

How to cope with an ongoing productive cough
I took seretide 500 for 8 years now, only to be told I should come off it, as this particular inhaler is predominantly for ASTHMA which I do not suffer from. Also, my spirometry was normal - so I do not have COPD which was the original diagnosis 8 years ago!!!!!!! It is now thought I have bronchiectasis

Side Affects of Areosol inhalers Reflux
Has anybody found the areosol inhalers to cause them problems with reflux chest pain more than dry powder inhalers? The reason I ask is because I cannot get my reflux/chest pain under control unless I take Alvesco when it does seem to subside. I was on Seretide then split that out into Flixotide and

Upper airway or throat?
I was wondering if anyone mainly gets issues with their very upper airway, i.e just below their throat? My lungs are good lately, but my breathing seems a tiny bit raspy. Not a wheeze though and no phlegm. Could it in fact by my throat and not airway? It seems inhalers really go to my lungs but not

Long Acting Beta Agonists & Reflux
Well thats my sixth 3 day trial with no Serevent and I had little reducing to zero reflux so somehow it is the culprit. I have read about LABAs possibly doing that and now I think they do. Im nearly 50 so possibly my LES is getting weaker I'm not sure. I think ive been on Seretide about 12 years and

Inhaler trials Alvesco and reflux with Seretide Serevent
After going round in circles for about 3 years now I can say with alot of certainty that the common denominator in my reflux struggles is the LABA Serevent. I'm not sure its caused it I think that was oral pred. I've kept a diary now and all the bad reflux is when I'm on Seretide and Serevent. I have

Alvesco what are your experiences
I'm about a month in from switching from Seretide 250 x 4 a day to Alvesco 160 2 in the morning and Serevent 25 x 4 a day. I'm not sure that this combination is working for my asthma as well as seretide? I used to get oral thrush with Seretide even woth a spacer gargling etc plus I thought it might have

Refused Salbutamol
Hi I have had quite bad asthma since being a toddler and also have life threatening allergies for which I carry an epi pen. My current medication for asthma is seretide and salbutamol. I have regularly attended hospital to be placed on a nebuliser and courses of steroid tablets. Last year my GP practice

Seretide going out of production?
I've recently been moved from seretide evohaler, which was great, to fostair, which I don't think to be so good. My GP tells me I can't go back to Seretide because the manufacturer is ceasing production. Is this correct and, if so, is there a better alternative?

Asthma flare not settling....
Hi all, I'm a (usually) well controlled asthmatic on Seretide 125 twice daily with very occasional use of ventolin. About a month ago after a week of camping/being outdoors, my asthma flared (tight chest, no wheeze or cough) and I was started on Pred 40mgs daily for 5 days. (only had x1 course of steroids

Post menopausal and I have iron deffeciency anemia and asthma
Following a recent endoscope and colonoscopy we thought the cause of the internal bleeding had been identified. They found a very large polyp which was removed safely. I have been taking iron tablets for 3 weeks and I have just had another blood test still showing my bloods going in the wrong direction

Haven't posted in a while but just feel like everything I'm doing is futile. Still on my Seretide 500 x2 a day with Montelukast, fexofenadine, nasal spray and eye drops, however due to splitting up with my partner I've had to move in to a friends for the time being... And shes got guinea pigs. I can't

Muscle pains on change of Asthma Reliever
Hi I'm new here. My story is that I was originally diagnosed as asthmatic when I presented with an uncontrollable cough. Many years and many tests later it transpires that I actually suffer from bronchiectasis and acid reflux. Exercises prescribed for the former (no other cure) and omeprozole for

Asthma and Gerd my experience so far...
Im middle aged and had asthma since birth and in the last 5 years or so I've had quite bad flare ups and in the last 2 years bad reflux. On reflection I'm convinced the flare ups had a reflux element as oral steroids and increased inhalers did not shift it and in fact it seemed to get worse. I take seretide

New To Asthma--Some Questions
Hi There, This is long, so apologies in advance. A few months ago I was diagnosed with adult on-set asthma after having this horrible case of bronchitis that lasted for about 2.5 months. It ended up being bacterial (but according to my specialist the initial antibiotics given were not strong enough

Coughing forever?
I have had a chronic cough since early December. I had a really bad asthma flare up and flu at new year and I am still coughing. I’m coughing up white or yellow phlegm so I don’t think there is an infection anymore. No blood. Keeps me awake and is worse at night than during the day. I’m on cetirizine
