Has anyone with Beta Thalassemia improved their thyroid function and anemia the natural way without going on medication.
I'm English but currently living in Germany until the summer. I have Beta thalassemia trait but apart from some tiredness, I feel healthy. I had a standard check up and was told my TSH basal levels are elevated and the T3 and T4 levels are borderline low. My haemoglobin levels, haematocrit, Erythrocyte

LYME DISEASE. What to do?
Hi, this thyroid protocols are going to get me crazy. I not only turned out having Hashis, adrenal problems, but also Pituitary problems. And the last strow my lyme D gave reactive in the lab. What can I do? Are the L.D having my low T4, or high antibodies? Labs Collected: 05/03/2016 09:34 = *THYROGLOBULIN

So unsure what route to follow, NDT, T3/T4 combo or try levo again ?!
Hi all, I'm so unsure which route to follow out of the above 3, I've been taking NDT for just about 2 years now, I've been trying to raise my Vit D3, also my folate, I'm taking D3, K2, B2, magnesium, selenium, and I'm on 2 grains of NDT, I've not done well on NDT even though I've changed brands to see

Test results for comments please
My wife had a Blue Horizon test last week, and the tests are below. Regarding the B12, she is currently taking Natures Best B50 complex, so I guess we should reduce that to every other day. She is also on other supplements including, selenium, zinc and Vit D3, and we are pleased to note a reduction

Where to go from here?
I have Hashi’s and was diagnosed in 2010. I had ME between 1990 and 2007 and recovered completely. I have had problems with the levo dosage for a couple of years, having ‘hyper’ symptoms when my dose is raised. I have been on 75 mcgs levo since August last year, when it was dropped from 100. I have never

Zinc - Clioquinol
New paper below [1]. Many will know that the normal prostate has the highest concentration of zinc in the body. Normal prostates also have large amount of citrate, & it seems that the role of zinc is to protect the citrate from being metabolized. An early event in the development of PCa is a reduction

Help with Thyroid Fluctuations
Hoping that someone can shed light on my NDT fluctuations which I think are stress related...... History - After huge row with Dr. two years ago who was adamant I was not hypo because TSH was 1.0, I had private tests done. My t4 and free t4 levels were at bottom of range, t3 slightly higher within range

Oh boy, stumped again about what next,,,
Big hellos fellow Hashi-Hypos Long time no post but, alas, I have another chunky log of tests and symptoms to submit to your collective expertise. Tried to make it easy on the eye - hope that's worked: As per advice of some of you guys and private functional medicine GP ( Dr C in Hendon) on November

Got the results back
I would be grateful for any comments on the XaERu and Folate below. I don't think that the XaERu is anything to worry about, as I believe that someone with liver disease has a very high level, but I don't know for sure. As for the Folate deficiency I have no idea. On a plus note the Gluten free diet

Pure encapsulations selenium supplement 200 mcg
Dr Isabella Wentz recommends the mentioned particular brand. I have tried the Biocare 100 mcg selenium and feel no different. I do not have hashimotos. I know that to convert t4 to t3 mineral selenium is essential. My hair is thinning badly and losing lot of hair. My Gp said I am within the normal

Selenium
Prompted by a recent comment from Joel. While selenium research has become a bit complicated, it has always been clear in one regard:- selenium deficency is a PCa risk factor, and there is no dose-related benefit once sufficiency has been achieved. Populations around the world vary tremendously in
