Had my thyroid ultrasound
I had my thyroid ultra sound yesterday. He man said I had nodules but benign. I have to go chat with my GP when she gets the results. I am terrified. I have underlying health problems I can't be having operations. Is there anything nutritionally I can do to help shrink these down. Any herbal remedies

My Hypothyroid Journey
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism over a year ago. Initially I was given Armour Thyroid by my Primary Care Physician. Dosage was 25 mg I think. Didn't see improvement so I asked her to test my iodine levels. My iodine was low. Started myself on a kelp supplement along with selenium and zinc. My PCP

Intolerances?
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's in January. I'm now on Levothyroxine. I've been reading a lot about food intolerances and their relation to Hashimoto's. I don't have any digestion issues but I can no longer drink alcohol. It's really strange as I can drink a glass of wine but 4 hours later, my heart

Conversion problems
My mum recently under went private blood tests because her T4 & TSH were both high and have been difficult to control over the past year with GP moving her dosage about which hasn't helped. The problems seems to have started since taking a statin but maybe coincidental. Mum was taking the statin at

Copied and pasted so apologies for any strange formatting! This is my first post on the PA page. Hello - I posted a few weeks ago on Thyroid UK as I was getting tingling in my feet at night and, after hot baths particularly, my fingertips. That's now progressed to my feet tingling all the time and

Should I drop from 100mcg to 75mcg?
Hi all, I have posted a few times with my story. My most recent results are after 6 weeks on 100mcg levo. I only got NHS results this time, no medichecks results although I do regularly monitor all the usual vits and they are where they should be. I follow a gluten, dairy and soya free diet. I supplement

Breathless and difficult digestion. Other autoimmune?
Hi everyone. I wonder what advice you might have for a guy wrestling with Hashimoto's. My main symptoms are fatigue, exertion to breath, bloating, sometimes it can be tiring to stand but I don't know if this is more to do with being bloated and breathless. finally, although it seldom quells my appetite

Selenium 🤔
What dose of selenium do people take and also what time do you take it. Do you take it separately to any other meds? I'm also looking at B12 ?

I might not be fine on T4 only after all
This is a post I did not expect to be writing, but I may be about to join the T3 crowd for good. This post is mostly descriptive, and is intended as an update, given my previous assertions that I am well on T4 alone. Latest blood test showed a drop in fT3 to 5.1 pmol/L (3.1 - 6.8). This is despite my

Daily Vitamins and doses
What Daily vitamins and doses are we all on? I appreciate that this is probably unique and per person, but in general I’d imagine we should all be taking roughly the same vitamins a day for Hashimotoes? I’ve done the vitamin blood test and the only thing I was low on was Vit D. I still take Selenium,

Hair Loss and Anticoagulants
My beautiful thick hair seems to be getting thinner every week. When I wash it I have heaps of hair on my hands and there is hair all over the bathroom floor and sink when I brush or blow dry it. My hairdresser has noticed the difference too. I believe the hair loss is linked to my medication and in

Iron deficiency anaemia missed by GP?
I was diagnosed with hashimotos last summer and am taking 75mcg of Levo. I’m gluten free and have been supplementing with selenium, magnesium, b12 and bit d3 since the new year. I recently suffered my first migraine in my life in the day my period started. This was accompanied by dizziness, weakness
