Sclerotherapy

Has anyone needed to have sclerotherapy after having a Lymphocele that won’t dry up after drain tube? We are just trying to hear from people on the experience, outcome, side effects, risks, recovery time, pain, complications etc. Anything.

This will involve a local (not general) anesthetic, laser ablation and some foam sclerotherapy. While I appreciate there will be some degree of pain involved, I'm now worrying that this treatment could make my tinnitus worse or cause it to spike.

I googled treatments for RLS and came up with a vein specialist who says that a procedure called "sclerotherapy" can help RLS. It is usually cosmetic, but if an ultrasound says that it would benefit RLS, it is covered by insurance.

My question is I am considering having Foam Sclerotherapy injections to veins in my leg and wonder if this has any risk factor.

hi all I have discovered my endometriosis and had a laparascopy (ethanol sclerotherapy) in May 2022 to remove my endometrioma/ large cyst. Since then the doctor has advised that I take dienogest to stop my period and avoid having another large endometrioma. I was bleeding whilst on dienogest.

We conclude that doxycycline should not be used for sclerotherapy where unprotected nerves are exposed to the agent until further physiologic tests are performed to prove its safety."

Has anyone had this procedure ether NHS or privately? I have recently had a stent fitted and blood clot removed. Since being bandaged on right leg for ulcers and wearing compression stocking on left leg for damaged saphenous vein I am not having the pain in either leg although I am still having two

Hi all, Since removing endometriomas via surgery damages ovarian reserve. I saw a procedure where the cyst is drained then injected with either ethanol or tetracycline. This causes the cyst to dissolve on its own after 6-8 weeks with apparently no damage to the ovary. Has anyone had this done?

I wondered if anyone else had developed Lipoedema after foam and micro sclerotherapy. I developed Lipoedema after these procedures, this has also led to some lymphedema and is beginning to show signs of arthritis in the knees. Be great to hear from anyone in the same boat. Thanks

Hi Team Had ultrasound guided sclerotherapy (UGS) 5 May 2015 after changes in my legs to my vascular system. Horrendous night cramps being the main problem since in inception of PMR last year, diagnosed January 2015.
