I am a Type-2 diabetic for the past about 10 years. Earlier I have been taking Amryl 2mg. Somehow the sugar level did not come down.
Doctor prescribed me TriObimet-2. Since then there is drastic improvement. However, I understand that Government has banned manufacturing and selling "pioglitazone' which contains in this medicine ( other two constituents are Metformin and Glimepiride). Anyone who takes diabetic medicine that contain

MEET ME… I AM THE MODERN CAVEMAN…
I am the modern caveman. In a man-made high tech world, I am ashamed to live…… Wait a second…On second thoughts…… My body is the result of billion years of evolutionary perfection. It can put any modern man and his technology to shame. No single Genome project can unravel ME completely. A century

Excessive thirst and urination at night.
I have 15 units of mixtard (30/70) insulin and Metformin 500 before I go to bed. I am on LCHF diet. However, I am extremely thirsty at night and urinate 3-4 times. During the day, there are no such issues. Any ideas?

My story - PCOS to start of IVF.
Feel free to comment/ask any questions. Sister diagnosed with PCOS and advised me to get checked. Diagnosed in 2007 and put onto Metformin by my GP for the nasty effects, acne, hair growth, problematic periods and weight. I was very lucky as I have not had many of the side effects from the medication

Just started taking a statin & have some concerns....
Hello - I have just joined. I was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 years ago & control it through diet & exercise which is working so far. However, my cholestrol is apparently high (7) and so the Dr has prescribed statins. He basically told me I had no choice as it would be impossible to lower my cholestrol

Can poor hydration contribute to calf pain?
Today I went out for W4R1 (again) full of optimism and not having had the usual 'battle with the bed' episode. Not a cloud in the lovely blue sky, gentle cool breeze - perfect! On the first 5 min run my calf muscles were very painful. Never had this before. Slowed the pace. Had to negotiate a whole
