Migraine aura without the pain
Years ago I occasionally had a migraine, mostly when I was a student, but recently I’ve had almost daily occurrences of experiencing the aura, but no pain. It’s really inconvenient as obviously it affects my eyesight temporarily, if even for only an hour. Just had sight checked with Specsavers, and

SGLT2 new treatment for CDK; anyone on them?
I was listen to a Dr. in a podcast regarding new treatment for CDK. Even though these sodium inhibitors are used for heart patience and diabetics, they are showing promising results for non-diabetics with CKD and proteinuria. "Despite optimal treatment with renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system (RAAS

Poor Circulation- does anyone else have this issue?
I have been having issues with the circulation to my hands and feet for a couple of years’ now. I only see my feet before I get dressed in the morning and after I undress in the evening but at those times they always look a very unhealthy shade of purple. My hands vary throughout the day and sometimes

Started on Dapagliflozin last week
Trying to stick with it until I get kidney function checked in the next week or so, but I am feeling awful. I can't do anything, have no energy, slept for about 20 hours yesterday and had horrible migraines with visual disturbance the 4 hours I was awake. No energy to walk anywhere and no eyesight to

What are your experiences with Dapagliflozin?
Hello. My cardiologist is planning to start me on Dapagliflozin in addition to my existing meds. Just wondered how people had been finding it? I'm a little worried about the likelihood of thrush and UTIs, especially as the cardiologist said they'd likely just stop prescribing the drug if that did turn

Entresto and Dapagliflozin use
Hello hearties It's been a while since I posted here, but I wondered if anyone is on Entresto and how they are getting on. I have been taken off Ramipril as my Ejection Fraction is between 35 and 40 percent and started on medium dose Entresto. I am also to be given Dapagliflozin as the Cardiologist

Dapagliflozin Week 1
Thought it might help if I logged my experience with Dapagliflozin for heart failure. I'm 62, male and with a CRT Pacemaker and an ICD. I have low LV performance and suffer from breathlessness, tiredness, water retention and some nausea due to the tablets I take. I don't have or never have had Diabetes

Seen the heart nurse for the first time
So hubby was rushed in January 2021 to hospital with breathlessness, 2 weeks later sent home with severe heart failure. Obviously we couldn’t visit, and his brain is so foggy, forgetful due to HF, I had one call from doctor explaining more to me. But I can honestly say, the heart nurse was lovely,

Dapagliflozin
Read about this drug a few weeks ago. It had been used in diabetes but has only been approved for heart failure in November 2020. Was surprised to find yesterday, at my Heart Failure nurses appt that I’m being prescribed this drug and I’m so excited! (Sad, I know!) I’ve been on Entresto for a couple

DAPAGLIFLOZIN
After finally stopping canaglifozin due to side effects . Dapagliflozin has now been prescribed at a much lower dosage for my diabetes in its place, which I have been advised also works well for heart failure too. I had a HA which was a year ago 13th November. I am well now happy and I believe healthy
