I have seen quite a lot recently about this drug and other SGLT2 inhibitors being used to treat heart failure with very promising results. They are an existing class of drugs used to treat diabetes, but recent research has shown positive benefits for people with heart failure, both with and without diabetes. There are several academic talks on YouTube that are particularly interesting. I asked my HF nurse about these drugs recently, she knew of them but said she hadn’t seen much prescribing as yet.
