It's been a while since I posted here, but I wondered if anyone is on Entresto and how they are getting on.
I have been taken off Ramipril as my Ejection Fraction is between 35 and 40 percent and started on medium dose Entresto. I am also to be given Dapagliflozin as the Cardiologist has said this shows good results in trials for Heart Failure too.

I'm on Entresto (switched from Ramipril after problems with cough) and Dapagliflozin. It's hard to tell how well they're working but I should be able to tell after the next echo in July. But, for what it's worth, I feel good and haven't had any sides worth mentioning.

I took part in the trial for Entresto 24/26mg and felt a lot better but when they gave me a higher dose it didn’t suite me as my BP dropped. I was then moved to the surgery side of the trial for Stents and Rotablation, I’m still taking the Entresto and am getting stronger daily.
Yes, I remember trials being conducted at a hospital near me a few years ago but i didn't get on them. Happy to hear that you are getting stronger too.
You’re welcome. I’ve been really lucky with my treatment, I was too ill for a bypass so the hospital fitted the ICD this took my EF from below 20% to 35% until I got stronger then I was fortunate to be offered a place on the trial. We have a treadmill at home that I go on daily, I can manage ten minutes then my Wife drags me out for a 2 mile walk 4 times a week. The outdoor walk isn’t so easy but I have plenty of rests on the way, I think the only advice I can give is don’t give up with the meds it takes a long time to find a combination that suits.
I’m on Entresto. And my EF has gone from 30-35% up to 43%. When my heart failed I was at 20% and I was initially put on Ramipril which got my EF up to 30–35%. I have zero side effects on Entresto and feel great on it.
I have started taking Dapagliflozin for the first time today. I've been on Entresco for a while. My Cardiologist seems to think it will help my heart failure, and type 2 diabetes. Wait and see.👍
Hi, Thanks for asking but it's hard to say at the moment. I'm still recovering from 3 weeks in hospital where they stopped all of my meds, which nearly killed me, can't understand why they did it. Since then they have changed most of the meds but still on Entresco and Daplagiflozin. Not feeling too bad at the moment but still recovering, struggling to walk but slowly getting there. Sorry for the whinge but you did ask😅.
Hi I've been on dapagliflozin for nearly one month now and only side effects seem to be mild thrush. about to swap from ramipril to entresto, but wondering how much it improves the risk reduction etc. I see a 10% figure in trials compared to ramipril in isolation, but it seems like dapa combined with ramipril achieves almost the same outcomes. i think they're doing more studies on this. btw on also on eplerenone and statins to complete the cocktail . ef 30-35% any views
Hi,I've been on Entresto since Nov 2019 (before that I was on Ramipril) the only side effect I have is a cough with a little bit of phlegm, it's not a constant cough but I cough lightly a few times a day. I've also been on Dapagliflozin for over a year and that don't seem to have had any side effects with that.
Was prescribed Entresto but unfortunately I reacted to it and had to stop taking it. Was put back on Ramipril and prescribed Dapagliflozin 10mg. I’ve had some side effects and have reduced the dose to 5mg and I have noticed a vast improvement in my symptoms. Still getting some side effects but am able to tolerate them so that I remain on Dapagliflozin as it has been that good.
