Post op scars
I know in the grand scheme of things a few little scars on your stomach is nothing, but I would really like to feel better about them, does anyone have any advice on how to reduce them? I've been using bio oil for a while now and just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions.

Exercise without compression with no adverse effect, so far so good, I hope it continues!
Hi all, I have asked the question before about whether I should try periods without my compression garments now that my swelling has all but gone and is under control, however my concerns about the swelling coming back have stopped me trying it until recently. I have started karate training again

Planned c-section for placenta previa
Hi I have just been told I have to have a c-section and have been given the date for it today. They also want to admit me for observation 10 days before the operation date. I feel so emotional and scared about this, especially after hearing about the risk of haemorrhaging and possibility of a hysterectomy

Lung carcinoid. After a C.T guided biopsy, I was diagnosed with lung carcinoid, surgery was recommended, but will deplete my breathing?
as it is in the centre of my lung. My Surgeon has decided to wait a few months to see if carcinoid get larger. then it will be surgery. These few months will hopefully give me time to sort out my life for a future!! without half a lung and C.O.P.D I would be glad to hear of any similar experiences.

Has anyone else got Polycythaemia?
I was diagnosed with Polycythaemia [too many red blood cells] over a year ago and have to go and have blood drained every 6 weeks. Caused by a lack of oxygen due to copd and bronchiectasis - the body tries to compensate by making more red bllod cells - and another reason for getting tired very easily

central sensitization
Does anybody else have "central sensitization" - where the nervous system goes into overdrive as a reaction to chronic pain.? I have this I have been told, and I get pain for no reason, it is just my nervous system playing games! If anybody has this do you have any more information on it?

another c-section or normal?
I'm 22 weeks pregnant with my second child and my first birth was quite hard - emergency c-section due to pre-eclampsia. What I really want to know is, am I likely to have a c-section with this one? I don't see my consultant until the end of may and I'm starting to worry! Does anyone else have any experience

Avoiding cesarean.... how?
OK, to elaborate. I am aware that if you are prone to endometriosis, endometriosis growth is more likely to form along pelvic surgery scar tissue and we are more likely to form adhesions there as well. For this reason I want to avoid having a cesarean as far as I possibly can if I have a baby and

If you have read the recent blog by swissmiss/Christine and following comments, you will know that she has had some really good advice from Lena who knows a lot about hair styling. So, it got me thinking that there must be a wealth of talent between us all and it might make an interesting Blog. So to
