Salamol

Why is my salamol not working after I clean it every week there is loads in it I've had to get another one but I think my doctor thinks it should of not gone yet what can I do if it stops working

A couple of weeks ago my repeat prescriptions was delivered , instead of sending me Salamol I was sent Ventolin, I didn't query it as I knew they were the same drug but surprisingly I felt better with the Ventolin than I ever have with the Salamol which I put down to the drug reaching my lungs with a

Ordered Ventolin and have got salamol. Ventolin works very well for me but is salamol the same. Just wondered if anyone has problems with the salamol as a friend of mine says it doesn’t act as quickly on her and she is trying to speak about it with her Doctor.

Particularly keen to understand if the Dr's quote [i]"Salamol puffers are normally ordered 3 or 4 times a year max" [/i]is accurate. Thanks

a lot of walking I think the doctors is unreasonable I only have one what can I do if my salamol doesn't work

I've been using my salamol for ages now I've noticed lately my breathing is getting better I can walk fast now do you think it's better thanks Julie

Pharmacist rang me this morning to tell me from now in he will supply Ventolin as I feel an improvement if I want it that is big yes from me, no need to tell surgery, also said there is a shortage of salamol inhalers nationwide so some might get Ventolin in there prescription.

I've just got a new salamol inhaler and it's much smaller than usual, about half the size I expect. It says it's got 200 doses in it and the dosage looks right. Should I be concerned? I've been used to 1 size for decades.

I asked the pharmacist about the New rule, she says that it is in the guidelines they receive, and I should be switching to salamol if I need more than one fostair 100 inhaler a month. Unfortunately she had also made salamol unavailable.

I am on Trimbow and Salamol. I am now feeling a tightness in my throat, and a constant tickle, I can also hear a sort of gurgle in my throat. Any help & advice would be gratefully received.

(Have memories of Ventolin being changed to Salamol which never seemed as effective) Has anyone else been changed to Luforbec and how are you finding it?

Has anyone else been told there is a national shortage of this yet the GP dispensing practice is telling me that I will have to wait for a new inhaler until the beginning of March when they might have sorted something out I know there is very little left in my current inhaler so naturally am worried

I haven't actually had to have any salamol today for the first time in a while so steroids must be working but jeez.

First time, some 15 years ago, I was prescribed Salamol by GP, I didn't realise until I got it from the Chemist. I thought maybe it's a change that made by doctor on my condition as "Salamol" was written on prescription itself not "Salbutamol" as has been previously. So I started using it.

Hi all, I do post on here sometimes, but wanted to know if other people have this problem, and what have you done about it.I have stage 4 Emphysema 40% lung function, I have Inogen portable oxygen at the moment take Salamol and Trimbow inhalers.

I spoke to a wonderful asthma nurse from asthma uk today, and I basically need to look at changing my medication again as I thought I was doing well but I'm still using the salamol too much .

I have salamol, it aids with relieve from breathlessness but struggle to find any long term solutions. I wondered if anyone has a steroid inhaler that helps them with their symptoms.

I put in for a salamol yesterday although it's not due until the 9th. What I don't want to do is run out before it's due, understandably. Doctors receptionist rang me earlier and said the doctor refused to give me a reliever until a certain date.

Have just had dispensed a different salamol inhaler, which is a dry inhaler and has a dose counter on the side. The latter should be easier to monitor instead of having to weigh salamol inhaler. Hope it is as effective as well. Wishing you all a pleasant weekend. 🤗

Nothing too controversial, Bisoprolol, Atorvastin, Aspirin & GTN spray for Heart related alongside Salamol and Soprobec for Asthma. I'm told by my GP surgery the right hand side of the prescription, naming the meds etc should be sufficient for this purpose?
