Hoping for some clarity and real world experiences..
I'm travelling to Dubai for a short break in October and understand I need to validate/declare prescription medication that I might need to take into the country.
Nothing too controversial, Bisoprolol, Atorvastin, Aspirin & GTN spray for Heart related alongside Salamol and Soprobec for Asthma.
I'm told by my GP surgery the right hand side of the prescription, naming the meds etc should be sufficient for this purpose?
Does this sound right, any recent travellers to DUBAI or UAE with similar meds I'd welcome your input.
Thanks all...

Do you not get a document handed over to you every time your medication is dispensed which lists all your repeats ? I certainly do. Perhaps you could use that if you get the same. Alternatively all your repeat medication is listed in the NHS app assuming your GP has subscribed so thats another source of the information you may be needed to submit. Finally if you take the boxes in which you received your meds complete with the pharmacy sticker for each of your meds, that's another source.
I’ve been to Dubai every year since 2020. I take all my medications in their original boxes. I also take any doctor letters which outline which medications I’m on and my diagnosis. I carried my GTN on the plane with no issues at all.
The list of controlled drugs for the UAE are attached below.
Hi! I went last year and am on morphine as well as heart meds/various others and had no issues at all with them in their original box and a script hope you enjoy your visit!
thanks all - helpful info - I've now got the other part of my prescription, confirm the meds are not on the restricted list and as others have said - will take them in their original boxes. Thanks again.
My husband who has cancer, I've had a HA, so both have a shed load of meds. We keep all meds in original packaging, take a copy of a repeat prescription, which also has name address etc on. We have never experienced any problems.
