I've just got a new salamol inhaler and it's much smaller than usual, about half the size I expect. It says it's got 200 doses in it and the dosage looks right.
Should I be concerned? I've been used to 1 size for decades.

Were you previously on ventolin
Sounds like you previously had a ventolin inhaler and have been switched to the generic brand salamol which seems to be the new go to that you get in a prescription. They say its better for the environment because of less propellant but personally i think its a cheaper option the NHS r using i hated salamol inhalers they just didnt work for me i would use nearly double of the smaller ones that the bigger ventolin ones i phoned the GP and requested to be moved back to ventolin. It might work for you its all just preference and if the inhaler works for you
hello my asthma nurse told me the new asthma inhaler is smaller because it does not contain the substance which damages the ozone the meds inside the smaller inhaler are the same amount as the meds inside the larger one which contains the substance that damages the ozone when used.
it’s a different propellant so doesn’t need to be so big
Thanks for the info. Weird to get one that's a different shape
