Why reduce Ferritin to get iron infusion and how?
Hello friends For those that do not know my new neuro is trying me on several meds for RLS. The current one is Clonidine which appears to be helping, (just 3 days in). I have reduced my Oxycodone which I am taking alongside from 30mls to 25 mls daily. I asked if I could have an iron infusion and he

Facing my dad's dying days
Hi all, I feel like my mind has been spun around and now is facing in a totally new direction. This past week, my 98-year old dad completed his radiation treatment. Things felt very hopeful. His pain level has been way down ever since he was diagnosed with the cancer just over a month ago. The drugs

Pre-surgical help needed please
I’m a long-time member here and need some medication guidance. I had a severe case of RLS that needed to be kept under control by staying on my combination of Tramadol (100 mgs x3X/day) and Pregabalin/Lyrica (100 mgs x3X/day). My surgeon said I could stay on Pregabalin, but not the Tramadol as it wasn

Oxycodone and Laxative
I have just started on Oxycodone to replace Oramorph... 5 mg fast relief . Suffering from Bladder Camcer. Problem is that I then need a laxative because both of the above make me constipated. Oxycodone appears not to react well with Dulcosoft laxative. Anyone any suggestions ?

the culprit is in the cbd I am taking

need help from someone with similar experiences with pregabalin tapering
Hi, I have been taking 300 mg pregabalin for almost 2 months to try to replace the Oxycodone 5 mg I have been taking in the past 4 years. After 2 months of experimenting, I find out that pregabalin has no benefit relieving my RLS. So now I am trying to taper pregabalin off to eventually eliminate it's

Oxycodone
Hello! I have been taking oxycodone for RLS since October last year. It has helped me a lot. However, the nausea is still ongoing and by 5pm in the evening I feel restless and unwell with the sicky feeling. I'm wondering if this could be withdrawal from the med before I take my next dose? I take 10mg

Lumbar nerve impingement
I responded to another post about index numbers on scans. This generated a question about symptoms from the nerve impingement that showed up on my recent MRI. I decided to answer in a new post. My MRI showed a new lesion pressing on the root of the nerve where it leaves my third lumbar vertebra. Here

Help - pain relief
Hi all, I have fibro and also endometriosis. Generally I take nortyptiline every day, which helps keep pain on a low hum not gone but lower levels. But when I have flares and can’t control I take oxycodone, ondansatron combo. Very heavy and not nice to be on for too long, though in other ways amazing

Abdominal pain
Had abdominal pain all night which was also a stabbing pain on and off. Taken oxycodone but still in pain. I am on Niraparib stage 4b anyone else had pain constant like this. Could it be adhesions or ascites or what any ideas?

My ongoing RLS battle
This is a follow up to my post “Life After Ropinirole”. Shortly after I posted my body decided it had had too many opioiods and I became more sick than I had ever gotten on opioids before. It came on suddenly without warning. No chance to make any changes to prevent it. The nausea was so very intense

some one with opioid-induced insomnia. I need help from you.
I need help from those who suffers from opioid-induced insomnia. I still suffer from severe insomnia from oxycodone I am taking. I hardly get 2 hours sleep every night without any sleeping meds. The Xanax I only take three to four days a week for fear of tolerance and loss effect eventually. Even

any successful stories switching from opioid to pregabalin?
I need to try to switch from oxycodone 5 mg to pregabalin due to the profound insomnia it causes and feel trepidatious about it. I have never tried pregabalin before and started taking oxycodone from the beginning, 4 years ago with success except the profound insomnia it causes. I did take Gabapentin

terrible side effects from Belsomra
I'd like to share my terrible experiences with Belsomra ( the new sleeping aid) on RLS. My doctor gave me some samples of Belsomra to try for my profound insomnia. Two hours after taking Belsomra, I started experiencing severe rls symptoms which lasted the whole night despite the more oxycodone I took
