Grateful for this Forum (continued)
Other info I've learned on this forum, for which I'm grateful: I refused a prescription for a dopamine agonist and tossed out a prescription for Wellbutrin after what I've read on here about augmentation AND other research, which suggested that Wellbutrin can increase insomnia---the very last thing this

Clonidine to counteract alertness from Opioid
Hi - After taking mirapex for 10 years and then augmenting, withdrawal etc, (many of you know the awful drill,) I was prescribed low dose oxycodone which resolves the RLS symptoms completely, but seems to cause inability to sleep or alerting. I have now been prescribed clonidine to help with the restlessness

I lost half my blood in 2004 after I found that out from bloodwork that I had done, I was told to go to the emergency room , nine doctors looked at me and admitted me for a blood transfusion and then sent me home the next day at noon not finding where the blood I lost came from ? I was still bleeding

DAs addicting?
I am currently not on anything for RLS. Still struggling with withdrawal from pramipexole. It’s been going on for months. I went to a sleep specialist who’s only plan would include a DA. I told him I cannot take DAs since I get terrible side effects, both while on the drug and after withdrawal. He

Symptoms all mixed up now
Hi everyone I feel in a mess and a muddle at the moment... After the Rotterdam Regime which finished mid May ( which did give me some remission) my appetite gradually diminished until now I am scarcely able to eat a third of my normal intake. My energy levels have plummeted so most of my time is now

Anyone experienced recurrent meningitis? And did you get any answers as to why it keeps happening?
I had meningitis four years ago (suspected bacterial, but was already heavily medicated with IV antibiotics and steroids prior to my lumbar puncture) viral meningitis two years later, and now here I am again slowly recovering from a third bout of viral meningitis. I have about 2 years of peace between

SpaceOar
I went to the UNM Cancer Center for the SpaceOar injection on Monday. This was because my local hospital cancer doesn’t do the procedure. If it wasn’t for the 120 miles round-trip drive I would have selected the UNM Cancer Center for my radiation treatment as it was 39 zaps. Similarly, if it wasn't 750

Failed trial of oxycodone
Hi Jelbea here, I don't think I know how this system works. In the past I was talking to a lot of you and got great help. I can't seem to talk with you all now - only Involuntary Dancer. I was telling her my trial with oxycodone has come to an end. 5 mg. daily was ok for the first month but then

My Journey With RLS, Experience With Kratom
Hi! First time posting, but wanted to share my experience because I'm kind of on top of the world right now! I have battled RLS for many years, and imagine like most have felt helpless at times, felt like no one understands what it really is and won't take it seriously, and have spent countless hours

How were your experiences coming off DAs?
Hi all, I've had RLS since about 10 years. I've taken Pramipexole for it nightly for about 6 years of those. I was up to 0.54mg per night, having to increase my dosage regularly to keep its effect on my sleep. When this didn't help anymore, being the maximum recommended for RLS, at least by some sources

Feeling sedated during night
Heart attack 2 weeks ago; angiogram and 2 stents fitted. Sent home with big bag of tablets. Atovastatin, ranitidine, bisopralol, aspirin, rampril, ticagrelor, elantan. For 18 years I've also taken oxycodone every 3 hours for spinal pain. If it wakes me at night I write down the time, take a pre measured

in agony, after stopping zoladex treatment
I've written before, ive got endo, but was getting high fevers and severe pelvic pain and bleeding. Gyno said it was unheard of to have fevers with endo, but said to try zoladex and if that worked it would prove it was my endo. The injfections did stop all the pain and everything was great from pelvic

Update on Oxycodone
Hello all my restless friends. I said I would let you know how I fared with starting oxycodone. I have now been taking 5 mg. Longtec (oxycodone) for two weeks. This tablet is slow release over 12 hours. For the first few days I played about with the time of taking and have now settled on 8.00 p.m

Mirapex should be outlawed
I’ve been weaning off of Mirapex for 2 1/2 weeks now, down to breaking a .125 in half (using half) and using 150 mg of Lyrica along with oxycodone and an iron pill before bed. Last night I assumed I could finally stop taking any Mirapex (since 1/2 a pill seemed so small). My legs jumped horribly again

RLS/Augmentation and Refractory RLS
I have been dealing with RLS for almost 40 years. It wasn’t until 1996 that I was officially diagnosed through a sleep study. I was prescribed Sinemet at the lowest dose, and over the course of 5 years developed augmentation. Doctors tried prescribing other types of medications such as antidepressants

Love some advice about oxycodone
This post is for anyone of you who can perhaps advise me about starting oxycodone or not. As I have said I have been on 30 mg. codeine for many years but for quite a while this has not been helping much at all - perhaps easing symptoms for about an hour before they break through again. What are the

When to apply Neupro patch
Hi, all. I'm a new member to this great community. I took the name rls_optimist, because I strongly believe there are effective treatments (combinations, in my experience) that will work for everyone. One just has to experiment and never give up hope. And never cease searching out good, expert information

Surgery with CLL
