Tooth Extraction delayed because of risks while on Alendronic Acid
Went for a molar tooth extraction yesterday. It had cracked at the side of an old filling and extraction is the only option. When I told the Dentist I was on Riveroxyban, Steroids and Alendronic Acid, he immediately told me that my extraction will have to be delayed for at least several months while

Still no diagnosis and feeling dosheartened
I felt so certain I had PA but my gp has told me both tests done were normal. My B12 has been between 190 and 246 and that was with supplements but it has always dropped down over the past few years. I’ve been given a 3 monthly B12 and had my first dose but my GP has declined me loading doses even though

Hello friends 😊 Following my last tests (a bit over 2 months ago), I added vitamin b12 drops 3 days a week, have cut down my B complex to 1 capsule, and I taking a separate Folate supplement as this was getting quite high, and it was pointed out to me that it is a "Goldilocks vitamin" when trying to

Book on hypothyroidism as I wait for Levo to kick in?
Hi all, and thanks for having me here. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in October and started on 25mg Levo per day. Last week I saw my GP for (I think) an unrelated matter. She looked at my blood results from December (TSH 2.35, down from 4.39 in October, and T4 9.2, up from 7.9 in October) and

Starting on Armour
Starting on Armour for first time tomorrow, I have been told to take 1/2 grain at 8am and 1/4 grain at 3pm. According to the Thyroid Pharmacists conversion table that is equivalent to 75 levo, I am currently only on 50 levo which I have been told to stop while I trial the Armour. I tried 75 levo 3

Climbing TSH What should I expect to happen treatment wise
I have had a variety of thyroid blood tests done over the last 12 months. The First few showed subclinical hyperthyroidism. Then one test recently showed subclinical hypothyroidism. I don’t feel like myself. I have no get up and go at all. I’m either uncomfortably hot or uncomfortably cold. I

I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 10 years ago. I am now 73. I have been taking v D and calcium/magnesium and walking and gardening. But I have continued to loose BMD. I have not gone on any medication because I am reluctant to take a drug that interferes with the body's natural bone remodelling process

receptionists acting like doctors?
when I last saw my Doctor I asked if she’d read the paperwork I’d left for her but as her surgery was being decorated she said they were probably in her pidgeonhole but she did ,agree to my having my B12 at 8 weeks. When I went to the desk to book it the receptionist came back at me and said I wasn’t

Could someone look at my results please
hi I appreciate your views on my blue horizon results. I have CFS and have been looking into my thyroid, from what I understand these results look fine for thyroid health. However I am concerned about the cortisol test result as I read it should be around 400? I take ashwaganda but hadn’t taken

Grain free B12 injections - hypersensitive
Hi, just wondered if anyone has advice re trialling B12 injections which I've just been offered by GP. I am totally grain free, medication and chemical reactive (so don't take any and avoid as much as possible). So far I've been using grain-free (even in production) oral and sublinguals but would like

Recommendations for Endos in/near Berkshire
Just wondered if anyone has any recommendations for endos in or around Berkshire if they could pm me. I have seen one recently who has said he doesn't think I've ever had a thyroid problem as I was borderline when diagnosed but still have many symptoms. My TSH is very low but I am on a combination

Well at least that’s one less thing to worry about.
I’m so pleased to learn that my recent dexa scan after seven years of prednisolone is normal and unchanged from three years ago. Not being a pill popper before diagnosis I have struggled to take the calcium and Vit D supplement and Alendronic Acid which were prescribed as routine by my GP. A dexa scan
