Levo - a different beat.
Members may already know this. But for those who don't; there is a new kind of levo out there. It's in liquid form wrapped in gelatine. Swiss made, and there are only four ingredients: Levo; purified water; gelatine and glycerine. Not only does this make it more easy to assimilate, but it also rids the

Side effects of reliever
Hi. A side effect of my reliever medication, Salamol is it induces tremors. But I already have what they call 'Essential Tremors,' a nightmare in independent living and using Salamol exacerbates it. Is there a reliever which doesn't have this side effect please?

CAN ANYONE ON MEPOLIZUMAB TELL ME HOW THEY ARE DOING ON IT PLEASE?
Hi all, I am currently in the process of fighting to be given a chance on Mepolizumab for my severe refractory eosinophilic asthma and chronic eosinophilia. I have already delineated all of the details of that in my earlier post but it then occurred to me that perhaps I should also ask those who are

Retinal implants...hope for the future!
If the implant performs as well in humans as it has in animal models, it could someday restore light perception to millions of people with degenerative eye conditions such as
retinitis
pigmentosa or macular degeneration.

Iodine Contrast - content
I had swelling of the feet within a few days after CT with iodine with contrast. This could be coincidence but the following link states that some contrast agents have silicates in them. Silicates are the cause of podoconiasis (a syndrome like elephantiasis of the feet.) https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Does anyone else get this?
Hi! What follows is trivial, but annoying. From time to time I wake up with uvulitis. Over the day, as I rehydrate etc it goes away. I think the main cause is sleeping with an open mouth, which happens if I am a bit stuffy. All this happened this morning. I know when I got much worse with my asthma it

what is an asthma attack?
Hi again. Sorry for my ignorance, but what is an asthma attack? People say it's when you can't breathe properly, which I understand, but they often talk of your chest being tight. Is it like when you have a chest infection, and all the mucus is stopping you breathing properly, so you sound like a coffee

Non-stop runny nose & sneezing
I suffer from runny nose & sneezing all the time. This is not seasonal coz I started suffering from it since I was 19 and i'm 25 now. So far, I've tried all kinds of antihistamines and check up from specialists. But, whenever I treat my runny nose & sneezing, I get a postnasal drip which makes me cough

Rhinitis and allergic reactions
Hey. I have allergic Rhinitis and severe allergies to cats and a medium allergy to dogs and dust mites (on paper- but in real life my reaction to dogs are a lot worse). I also have general issues breathing and have always breathed through my mouth- which obviously gets annoying for people and tiring

Heptologist comment on brain fog
This is why I have brain fog. I guess it can vary from one patient to the next. But, it isn't from inflammation of the brain in my case. He placed me on Xifaxan to help break down the ammonia & other toxin. Due to the expense of this medication my insurance does not want to pay for it. Now I am being

When to worry about a cold
Hiya. I think I might have a cold. I have cough variant asthma and rhinitis so it's not always easy to tell. It's been a while since I had one... My asthma had been good to the point of not needing a preventer until about 6 weeks ago. Then I started needing bricanyl more and more often, so I went back

Resveratrol
I'm curious what people make of resveratrol and whether anyone has any experience of it. I am concerned by the mention of its possible estrogenic effect. That phrase usually has me running in the opposite direction, but I am curious about its antiinflammatory properties. I would much prefer to
