Hi! What follows is trivial, but annoying. From time to time I wake up with uvulitis. Over the day, as I rehydrate etc it goes away. I think the main cause is sleeping with an open mouth, which happens if I am a bit stuffy. All this happened this morning. I know when I got much worse with my asthma it was commented to me once or twice that our breathing organ includes all bits from bottom of the lungs to the tip of the nose, so I assume if there is slight inflammation in the lungs, that can spread throughout the rest as well. I think it is likely I have postnasal drip from time to time. Does anyone else get uvulitis? And if so do you know of a way of preventing it? Preferably without additional medication - I feel I take enough already.

I should speak to your GP about this. Having a dry throat is quite common, but uvulitis isn't.
