Steroid withdrawal syndrome?
Hello all. It's been a while since I posted here. Having been diagnosed with probable fibromyalgia, I thought that was the end of things. However, I notice from the fibromyalgia pages of this site that my symptoms aren't really in keeping with theirs. In brief, I have muscle and joint pain, but that's

Felcainide vs. Tikosyn
I've been on flecainide since my ablation in July, 2017. I still continue to have episodes of afib and aflutter which can last a few minutes to a few days. My cardiologist would like me to switch to tikosyn but is leaving the decision up to my EP. I'll be seeing my EP soon and would like to discuss

Small sores that will not go!
Just want some advice please. It’s my third month on Ibrutinib and all going really well. However, I have a few small sores on my hands, one on my nose and one on a buttock that just will not heal up. Saw a GP on Friday, never met anyone so bored by what I was saying 😠 and he prescribed Fusidic Acid

Well I waited 6 weeks for this appointment and discussed my latest symptoms and struggles. I had posteda few weeks back about my neurologist findings and indeed RA has found its way into my spine. On my next visit in 6 weeks we are going to discuss and decide the best treatment route for me. Also I saw

I need advice.
Hi All, Two weeks ago I went to the opticians because I had problems with flashing lights in my left eye when I blinked. It turns out it was floaters so I was sent away. I went back today as I keep getting a bright white flashing light which I had not had before. The optician examined my eye and said

is there a link between hypothyroidism and uveitis?
Hello, I am new to the site and am hoping to get some advice from you lovely people. I have had treatment for uveitis (inflammation of the middle layer of the eye), over the past 3 months, using Pred Forte (steroid) eye drops. The steroid drops do not seem to be working properly, my Ophthalmologist

Hi what's the difference between buscopan ibs relief and buscopan cramps medication? Finding it very confusing.
I have recently been diagnosed with ibs and doctor not helping much, on my own found buscopan ibs relief which seems to help but can't find any easy info explaining the difference in their products? Does anyone have personal experience?

I still have difficulty coordinating & concentrating & responding in timely manner on test. Told him that it's good news from his exam. Also told him I don't want to fo

Hi all I have been having a lot of problems with my skin and by looking online I would say that I have too much Histamine as I have bumps on my arms, legs, neck and back that itch a lot. I'm on anti-histamines that I got from my doctors and am relying on them as I'm even itching taking them. The doctor

Pegasus and Liver Function
ET CALR positive, Following my haem appointment and discussing my blood results due to white cells decreasing and red cells increasing it was agreed I would reduce the Pegasys dose from 90mg to 45mg weekly. The next day I had a call to say my LFT had been gradually rising and they wanted me to stop Pegasys

PMR and dry mouth?
I am very new to this forum and a diagnosis of PMR. I’m a 66 year old woman and have always been very active. Been on 20 mg prednisone for 1 week and now on 15 mg with minimal symptoms but I had the shoulder, arm, hip pain (bursitis) and thigh tightness before prednisone. I’m wondering if anyone else

Eye surgery
I am having surgery on my eyelids beginning in 2 weeks, they droop so much they are restricting my vision, so I qualify for this on the NHS. This will be followed by cataract replacement in the new year. My eyes have certainly deteriorated over the 3 years I've had PMR. Though being nearly 70 I'm told

Eye infections
Hi All, I hope you're all having a decent day. I've been getting recurrent eye infections since starting tocilizumab. The ophthalmologist seems to think that it's more generally related to the RA but I wonder if it's the meds. This one is the only thing I've had so far that's been relatively effective
