I am 60 years young and was diagnosed in May of 2008. I need cataract surgery on my left eye. Has anyone had complications with the surgery? I have SPMS. Thank you for any response!

awestinsmom I'm 53 and had cataract surgery on my left eye in 2015 at 50. Best thing ever as it allows me to not have to wear glasses any more (got the left eye set for long distance which is unusual).

I will see the surgeon in 3 weeks to schedule the right eye surgery which I will set to short distance.

It was quick, painless, and recovery is fast. Day after you go back to the surgeon to remove the pad. And they ask that for 5 days you avoid dusty environments. Some eye drops to use before and after surgery.

4 years later and I don't even think about it.

Everyone I know who has had that has been tickled pink with the results. I'm sure you'll do well and will be amazed at the improvement in your vision. Let us know how it went.

Cataract surgery is a standard procedure. I had it in my 20s with no issues.

I have PPMS and had cataract surgery on both eyes at 71 with absolutely NO problems. It’s a relatively simple and totally painless procedure.

I have rrms and had both my eyes done. No problems, although I was scared but no need to be. Best of luck to you.

I, too, have SPMS and had cataract surgery. NO problems and much better vision...sort of miraculous! Wonderful to be able to see clearly again.

I did follow their post op directions exactly, however. The directions were very clear. Everyone was very happy when they saw the results. I must have been the most pleased!!!

I had it a long time ago. It certainly has helped my vision.

Best Wishes,

Had both eyes done 5 years ago. Could not believe the difference in colors afterwards! My goodness! My clothes were much brighter and more colorful than I had thought! Amazing what a difference a day makes after cataract surgery! Go for it girl!
