An abnormally slow exercising heart rate..... WHY?
Up until Dec. 2017, when I was 68, I was almost exceptionally fit and had a resting heart rate in the low 50's and a high energy rate in the mid to high 180's. I had a stent fitted in April 2019 following which I have endured 3 rapid ambulance visits to A&E because of heart pain, low blood oxygen levels

Needing Advice
Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. To give you some background, my dad was diagnosed with stage IVb prostate cancer/Gleason 9 in October 2018. Prostatectomy not an option for local and peritoneal Mets at that time. Underwent 6 rounds of taxotere, responded SO well with minimal side effects

Abnormal Stress Test
Hey everyone, I was hoping to post a HA anniversary upbeat outcome from my stress test today. Its almost 12mths post HA and stent... but the computer says NO. Seems I have some abnormal blood flow so I have been recalled for another angiogram. I was hoping to hit the reset button today and get on with

BBC Newsnight report Stents V surgery trial
The program looked at heart doctors holding back data that suggested that more people with left main disease who were fitted with stents were dying than those who were treated by open heart surgery. The Excel trial was sponsored by the US stent manufacturer Abbott. The European Society of Cardiology

Heart Doctors Held Back Stent Death Data
This is more a disturbing than an interesting read. I will watch Newsnight tonight although I did not spot whn it is being broadcast. At the moment I am not commenting further as I do not want to speculate! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51539112

Doctors. No symptom is too small...
As some of you may know, my better half and I had to stop running in 2018 due to serious illness (One each! I'm not selfish ;-) ) Mine is an issue with my heart. In 2004 I had a stent fitted for a 95% blockage in an artery. It worked well up to the start of running, when I started to get aches in my

Waiting forever after complications with an Angiogram
Hi all, New here. Had a heart attack in early July last year and had no idea that I had suffered one - no chest pain, just dizziness, nausea and pain in my arms and back more akin to muscle aches after exercise (I also thought I had some sort of gastric reflux and swigged a load of Gavescon). Anyway,

Double J Stent and Starting Chemo
It is interesting times here. I'm still recovering from surgery to put in a chemo port and a ureter stent, and starting chemo for NEPC tomorrow morning. Very eager to be going on the offensive. Question for the forum: Does anybody else here have any experience with a "Double J stent"? Mine is working

Day 7 - Post 1st Dosetaxal Session
As the end of day 7 approaches following my 1st Chemo infusion, I would like to report that I am feeling pretty good. I had a couple of rough days/nights after the steroids wore off but I only had a little nausea and a few loose movements. Maybe it will get worse with subsequent sessions, I will have
