Keep on trucking forward, slowly but surely and I'm sure you'll feel the benefit in the long term. As Thatwasunexpected says everybody has good days and bad days with exercise.

What does your 'circuit' consist of?

Good question JR55. Our instructor keeps us on our toes by mixing it up each time! Typically it's about 10 different stations - stepping up on step front-wise and side-ways, squats, jogging on trampoline, throwing and catching heavy ball, walking/jogging, exercises like lunge backs. We do two stations and then do some slower exercises with weights to have a bit of a break from the cardiovascular.

That's really good. How many times a week?

Just the once. I don't think I could do it more than once a week but I go to the gym and do my own thing a couple of other times a week.

I had 2 stents getting on for 3 years ago and initially I was breathless walking 20 paces up the garden! The ticagrelor I was on (6 months) left me breathless. So for such a short time after your stents fitting you seem to be doing very well indeed. Ups and downs are totally normal (physical and emotional) for any heart proceedures.

I am now about 9 weeks post triple bypass prior to which I was feeling good, clambering up scaffold doing window maintenance etc.

I would have to travel over 100 miles to my nearest rehab but h.ave a mini gym at home. Not doing anything like you described! 10 mins on treadmill at 2/3rds normal walking speed (2mph) only, bike and light leg weights. Also do resistant band (moderate). So all moderate as sternum needs another 4 weeks to heal. However, (have mentioned on other threads here) I also had to cope post op with hospital acquired pneumonia and C difficile so that has slowed recovery but I am still quite happy (so far) with how it's going.

What meds are you on? They can have physical affects (knock on to psych).

Hi JR55. Bit of a mix up here. It's Bartie123 that had the stents. I haven't had any stents. My problem is my microvessels which need coaxing to open up to let blood through.

Oops will repost this for him.

Hi I am hopeless at technology so although i replied fully I didn't manaage to send it! Sorry! Now, I am on bisoporol, brilique aspirin omazeprozole ramipiril and afro statin (or whatever its called! The Ticaalegor (brilique) is what my cardio nurse and the physios at rehab tell me is making me - keeping me breathless - which is what sent me to the doctor initially and eventually was diagnosed with angina. I am seeing my cardiologist - one of the team - on 19th Feb. as no one else will change the ticalegor which seems to be doing the damge. It just makes me depressed which is bad all round. Grounds for divorce! My husband is getting totally fed up with me! But today the sun is shining and I have rehab which is always cheering.

Thank you all being supportive. Sniff sniff!

Barrie its 12 weeks calm down.

I would give it more time but speak to your GP. They can get lazy with reviewing meds and you are on a number that are likely to interact. GPs are starting to Deprescribe finally, due to the medications people are left on unnecessarily. Link below allows you to search interactions. Maybe get someone to assist as you say you are not good with technology? Print out the results and take to your GP if you think they are relevant to you. There is an option to click on 'professional' which gives more detailed results that GP would find useful so would print these too. Hope you are feeling better today. drugs.com/drug_interactions...
