So I have a stent in my LAD in the Proximal and Mid. CTO. M /43

After the stent , I feel very good and energetic. However next day, why I lie flat using my back, I feel chest pain on my left and right chest but mostly left. The pain is gradual then the degree of pain will becomes worst. When I lie on my stomach, the pain will be gone. Also when I sit on the car, I will also experince pain when I sit and lie on my back with a degree greater than 90 degrees angle.

Standing and walking makes the pain gone.

It is improving though, like when I am lyin on my back it takes more minutes or hours before the pain comes again.

Any of you guys experince this? Thanks. Very frightining though, you dont know if this is another emergency or not. Panadol seems help it though..

I experience the same thing, does it help when you GTN spray?

I think we need to give our heart time to heal

Tried gtn , gtn makes me dizzy and headache. The time the pain stops with or without gtn is the same so I dont know. But does GTN works for you?

Hi- sorry you’ve pain/aches. I had a stent in my LAD in ‘22 - I had aches when lying on my left side and various positions for ages. When telling the heart team I was advised to try GNT spray to see if helped- if it did then that might suggest ‘actual’ heart issues. For me it didn’t.

I think my heart was bruised and wasn’t particularly happy with the stent- it took me a long time (6mnths +) for it to settle down.

now I have to lie on my left due to a shoulder injury (cycling!) and it’s all fine- for me any aches are reflux, I run, cycle and do weights. (Not madly though !). I’m still ‘aware’ of my heart but don’t allow it to stress me.

Good luck!

Yesterday I feel terrible, I was like having palpitation due to eating High Carb Avocado. No pain in the heart but after that, The pain are like crazy, I drived to the computer shop and I feel the pain getting worst Its not squeezing or heavy it is really pain like painful. I thought its the end of me but lying on my stomach help it a little, then I take panadol and all my meds like atorvastatin, ticagrelor, aspirin.

The pain is like you know after you have a wound and it is behind your chest.

Then went to sleep. This morning, I woke up like 5am and no pain on my left chest, just on my right (This is weird, this happening before my stent).

Before this stent thingy, I only have pain during exertion like jogging, climbing the mountain etc.

By the description it sounds muscular. I had neck spasm, where the pain was in chest and radiating to neck and left arm. It came on when I lifted my head - also worse when driving. If it gets worse with specific postures or head movements - most likely muscular.
