I'm 48 today! Why this is a sign of Birthday ' Brain Fog' and is this just another unwelcome gift of GCA/PMR?
I know we don't usually discuss our birthdays on the Forum but I thought this milestone in my Life might be worth mentioning to All you understanding folks because you may be victims of Birthday " Brain Fog" too. So , I'm 48 , why is this significant? Well , if any of you have read my posts or replies

Dental problems
Hi all! Well, I hope everyone is on the mend of some sort. Does anyone who wears dentures have problems consuming foods that require chewing? My gums have bone loss and can’t chew hard foods like salads apples and the likes. I’ve had to smash meats and veggies. Drink smoothies with protein and berries

Ever increasing T3?
Brief background (because I’ve posted quite a lot!): started levo/T3 combo at 10/125mcg in March this year. Fab. All symptoms gone.... for about 6 weeks. I’m finding I need to increase by 5mcg every 5/6 weeks. I’ve tried sticking at one dose for longer but symptoms increase again. Recently when in

I posted on here a couple months ago that my GFR had fallen to 32 and then to 30 5 days later in August. Before that, I was eating bad, drinking bad and not taking care of myself. Diagnosed with IGA as an infant and am now 34. Luckily I have an active job and and otherwise in shape. Anyways, I got real

Low sodium levels?
One of my latest test results showing sodium level down to 129 -last test was 130. Both results too low according to standards. Not sure if Trileptal prescription is playing a part- is known to cause low sodium. Meet with nephrologist on results tomorrow but seeing this score drop is frightening.

Can anyone make use of residue dialysis support materials?
I supported my son-in-law at our home during his dialysis. He's had his operation and is recovering. I now have plenty of his support fluids, needles etc at my home. Is there any organisation that will make use of the following, much of which is still sealed. 12 box SAK402; 1 box BD Plastipak; 2 box

Minimal Change Disease and Diet
I was diagnosed with MCD about 15 years ago. I relapsed several times, and my creatinine levels kept rising. At my worst I had a GFR of 14. I was already on a low sodium diet. It was suggested to me that I try removing as much animal protein out of my diet as possible. When I made this change, I
