Help with Nocturia (night time urination)
Compared to others on this group, I have got off lightly with late side effects of
Radiotherapy
. But I still have some. I hope what I am posting does not seem trivial compared to what others are going through. I had pelvic

AI could help cut waiting times for cancer by automating mark-up of patient scans prior to radiotherapy.
Doctors at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge aim to drastically cut cancer waiting times by using artificial intelligence (AI) to automate lengthy
radiotherapy
preparations. Planning
radiotherapy
treatment can be a lengthy process.

Blood test finds 50 types of cancer is accurate enough to be rolled out
For anyone who has been treated with radiation therapy, this could be handy to keep an eye on potential secondary cancers. A simple blood test that can detect more than 50 types of cancer before any clinical signs or symptoms of the disease emerge in a person is accurate enough to be rolled out

Flomax Issue!
I was treated for aggressive Prostate Cancer in 2012 with ADT followed by two months of Radiation Treatment. (Gleas 9 and PSA 6) My recent PSA Test Result was 0.15. (6/21)I have been most fortunate to this point. A constant problem I have is Extreme Dry Mouth. I know Flomax can be a cause of this condition

Here we go again
Myhubby58 went to Dr today.. The Dr told him about a new trial that’s not even approved by FDA yet.. RU33 or something like that.. it is a type of radiation treatment to kill cancer cells, but what else does it kill .. I say no, just live out your life and do healthy regimen.. But Myhubby58 wants to

Positive Progress
Point 2: My experience of
radiotherapy
and chemotherapy wasn't that bad, My view is that if you are fit and healthy going in, you'll probably be ok. Point 3: Look into an integrated therapy approach.

Can radiation cause kidney pain?
Started getting a sharp pain in my kidney and/or lower back a few hours after my radiation therapy today. Don't know if it is related to the therapy or not and I didn't find anything about this online but since we have pros here, I figured I'd ask the question here.

Time from finishing cycles until scans?
I was just wondering what the typical sort of time is between finishing chemo cycles and
radiotherapy
before having scans etc to see how much they’ve worked?

Adjuvant Radiation Therapy After Radical Prostatectomy Decreases All-Cause Mortality
TAKE-HOME MESSAGE In this study of 26,118 men with adverse pathology, the authors investigated the impact of adjuvant versus early salvage radiation therapy following radical prostatectomy. After a median of 8.16 years of follow-up, 8.06% of men had died, including 25.62% from prostate cancer. Adjuvant

Salvage Cryoablation
So..my UroOnc wants to pursue cryoablation after my failed
radiotherapy
(EBRT/LDR Brachytherapy ). I don't know yet if I can have focal only cryo or have to have whole prostate ablation. I know the ED outcome is bad, but has anyone else had this treatment and how are you doing afterward?

Noisy valve
Looking for tips In January I had emergency surgery to replace my aortic valve (at last) I also had a double bypass and my mitral valve was scrapped all due to
radiotherapy
nearly thirty years ago. It was touch and go for quite a while but after 8 weeks I was allowed home.

6 Months Post Treatment Report
8 months post treatment at present. Had six month review with RO. Decided on SBRT due to surgical, erectile and urinary issues with RP. Prior abdominal surgery means DiVinci machine could not be used, and few doctors do a lot of open procedures. Used SBRT on a MRL machine (MRI guided radiation treatment
