Clinical Trial Trials
My husband is participating in the EMBARK Study at Winship Cancer in Atlanta (Emory). We aren't allowed to know his PSA as part of the study. The object is to determine if earlier use of Enzalutamide (hormone sensitive, non-metastatic) will cause a delay in radiographic progression. So far, his scans

ED Recovery -- Are there signs to look for?
Really, it's a two part question: (1) For those of you who had a radical prostatectomy, how many have recovered to where an erection capable of penetration without pills, needles, implants, etc has occurred? (2) If you have recovered erectile capability, was it an "overnight" event, or are there signals

I had an ablation in October 2016 which was successful until I had a mastectomy in January 2018 when I went into AF. Since then I have had a few episodes of AF which seem to be getting more frequent and lasting longer. I have recently seen a couple of Consultants privately and both are suggesting

PMR 101
Good Morning All I was lucky enough to be able to attend the meeting @ Artizan Library yesterday in London and learned lots from Dr Kate Gilbert. Glad to hear PMR & GCA are becoming of interest to researchers. I think some well known celeb or royal needs to get it for it to become a fashionable disease

Cancer cells returned in juncture of joining, after total gastrectomy.
Had difficulty swallowing, yet again, so endoscopy requested. They took biopsies and sadly turns out cancerous cells have been found. CT scan thankfully did not find anything so PET scan was done today. Now got to wait 4-5 days for those results. I am wondering if the cancerous cells could have been

Burning pain in back
Hello everyone Been ages since I have written on here and have been doing so well until just before Christmas where I started to get a funny sensation in my back. It feels like a burning feeling deep inside (as if it is an organ) It starts on the right hand side where my bra strap is and then goes down

Hi there, While avoiding Dr Google I stumbled across this forum, which seems to be full of lovely supportive and informative people. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2010 (Gleason 7) and following a radical prostatectomy has had no further treatment due to stable PSA readings. A rise in

Blood Loss during Radical Prostatectomy [RP] & outcomes.
New German-Canadian study [1]. Of interest to me because of my RP experiense. I donated the maximum 2 units of blood prior to surgery. My surgeon said that he would probably not need them. There was usually very little blood. This was not the case in the early days, when the surgeon was typically
