My decision on Radiotherapy -v- Prostatectomy
I hope this story might be useful to others. I'm based in the UK and had a PSA of 12.7 from a test in June 2023. That led to an MRI in August with a PI-RADS of 5 with irregularity on the front of the prostate. I eventually had a biopsy at the end of September after 3 cancellations (this was through the

BC Update with GP.
First I rang Macmillan and they thought it very odd my cancer had gone from high to low. So rang my consultants secretary and she was not there, the people in charge said they were not qualified to help. I saw my GP today and like myself had a letter with no details at the top, this matters because

Does anyone have experience of Radical Prostatectomy surgery or External Beam Therapy (with hormone therapy)?
Good morning, a fairly specific question: I had a HA in 2018 followed by single stent, diagnosis: Ischaemic heart disease, usual medication, rehab and all fine. In 2021 I was diagnosed with Chronic Inflammatory demyalinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), rare and little known condition - not related to the

Do Sulforaphane, Melatonin, and Cayenne Pepper work?
I've been a lurker for a while. First time post. I have had a radical prostatectomy, chemo (docetaxel - 6 infusions 3 weeks apart), radiation (38 doses) and Lupron (18 months). I am done with all treatment for now. PSA minimum was 0.02, now at 0.04. I've been reading a lot about sulforaphane (BROQ)

Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
Biopsy-free PCa diagnostics would be welcomed by anyone who has had one or more needle biopsies. This article in MedPage Today summarizes the current status for the several methodologies being studied as alternatives. Good info for those currently on AS or just watching a rising PSA. From the lead-in

My husband was had a robotic radical prostatectomy 1/2019 with no major complications or side effects. Gleason 4+3, negative margins and no positive lymph nodes. Laparotomy, Radical hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo-oophrectomy
I had a major surgery about 8 months ago but the pain around my stomach hasn't gone away. My blood tests and CT scan results are normal. They mentioned that have adhesions which make me in pain all day all night, so I only rely on the pain reliefs.

Timings of medications, help please.
Can anyone help me with the timings for the following medications which I need to take each day apart from the Risedronate once a week, please? I have spoken to the pharmacy and they were not particularly helpful. Levothyroxine and Risedronate both have to be taken on an empty stomach I believe. Not
