Hello, everyone
I am a 74 year old man, generally fairly fit and well. I have type 2 Diabetes, and I am Urinary Incontinent having had issues with it most of my life (mainly Bed-wetting). Following a Radical Prostatectomy a couple of years ago, my incontinence is now total, and I need to wear Adult Nappies 24/7.

Vagus nerve damage following hysterectomy.
Hi , just wondered if anyone has had similar experience? I had hysterectomy 20 years ago! When I had operation I had an abdomen full of violin string adhesions which took a long time to separate. Since then I have had bouts of right sided abdominal pain, nausea and fatigue. Now been diagnosed with

Hysterectomy
Hi! I was diagnosed with adenomyosis following a lap for endo excision on Wednesday. I already have the coil and, clearly, it's not helped the adeno so my consultant said the next option would be hysterectomy - although we will discuss it further at my post-op follow up in a few more weeks. Has anyone

Switching from Tibolone to standard HRT
I’ve actually posted this in the Menopause Community but realised you guys seem to mention Tibolone more. I was on Prostap injections with Tibolone as some add-back HRT. I then had a hysterectomy, so I am now moving from the Tibolone (which I’ve read helps your body to make oestrogen/progesterone) onto

Any advise please!
Hi all, At the beginning of July I had surgery to hopefully remove what they thought was endo but turned out I have adenomyosis and no endo so hysterectomy is on cards. Anyway I was fitted the coil. For the last month now I’ve been bloated every single day I’m having to up a dress size, I’m losing watery

What side effects have you had if you've stopped taking tibolone?
I have finally got a date for my surgery; hysterectomy, both ovaries and endometrioma removed, endometriosis removed, possible bowel resection and possible ureteric stent - 15th September. After waiting for 12 months. My consultant has advised me to stop taking Tibolone pre-surgery and since stopping

Recovery time after partial hysterectomy
Hello. I am due to have a partial hysterectomy which will be keyhole and wondered how long the recovery may be. I know everyone is different but if anyone has any experience they would share of the operation and recovery, it would be appreciated. I’m starting to get nervous as the procedure approaches

Piercing Left Chest and Shoulder Pain: Is it Osteoarthritis or Bronchitis ?
Three months ago I was exposed to cold after losing a loved one. Then this burning sensation started in my left shoulder through the chest radiating to the arm muscles. X-rays revealed bronchitis, and cervical wear. I was on meds for a whole month with physio. I would feel a tender lump in my left

Effect of hysterectomy & HRT on thyroid
Can anyone let me know how hysterectomy (conserving ovaries) and HRT (Tibilone) would effect my thyroid function? Just had bloods back (done am before food & dose for the day) and free t4 & free t3 now above reference range. Tsh 0.05 (which it usually is) Serum free T4 - 25 pmol/L (Normal range 9 -

I'm looking for some advice from anyone experiencing similar problems to myself , I was sterilised in January 2020, during surgery they discovered I have endometriosis stage 3 and I was diagnosed with adenomyosis at the end of last year also told I have a sticky left ovary and cyst in wall of the womb

Lupus and operations
I am scheduled for a total hysterectomy for the end of October. I was wondering if an operation like this will cause my lupus to flare? I’ve just had my first cat scan and ultrasound (since last December) that shows no new blood clots in my legs or lungs! Yay! Now that my disease is “calming down”,

Does anyone have advice pls?
I have severe endo which I have been managing best I can with pain killers and by taking the pill to try and get my periods under control. It’s not been perfect but it’s manageable . I was offered a hysterectomy but because of bowel involvement they couldn’t guarantee that I wouldn’t get long term damage

Hot flashes
It’s been eight months since my complete hysterectomy. My hot flashes and night sweats are terrible. Because of estrogen fed breast cancer and being on an estrogen blocker I’m wondering if I can get relief with anything? How long can I expect This to last?
