Should I get a second opinion?

Six years ago I had a hysterectomy but at the beginning of August I woke up to find that I was bleeding. I saw my doctor who said I was full of blood but couldn’t see a source of where th bleeding was coming from. I’ve recently seen a gynaecologist who ahead a quick look and said there was nothing there. No blood no endometriosis. There was no scan of any sort and the appointment only lasted 5 minutes? When I asked why I was bleeding she said it was just one of those things that happens now and again.!

Should I get another opinion?

I would, not sure how they can just dismiss it. Doesn’t make any sense to me.

The GP can arrange scans if need be.

How bizzare you’ve be dismissed for what is essentially internal bleeding? Do you have another GP? That’s worrying really I’m not sure you should take their advice at all and go and get yourself checked out quickly.

Thanks both. I woke up yesterday bleeding again so have managed to get a private appointment. I’ll let you know what happens.
