GP does not do loading dose as per BNF guidelines due to pressure on appointment availability !1
Hi all, Finally had a reply from my letter to GP questioning why my loading dose of 6 jabs was over 6 weeks, not 2 weeks as per guidelines. ( I enclosed copies of EVERY treatment protocol ) and reminded him I had tested positive for IFA antibodies and Parietal Antibodies, and had neuro symptoms even

The quantity of B12 is 50micrograms daily. Can anybody advise

Gluten and lactose free diet
I haven't been on this forum for a while and I'm agreably surprised each time by the seriousness and expertise of the answers given to us sufferers from thyroid problems. Myself after many years of digestive probles, painful auto-immune arthritis and Hashimoto's disease I finally decided 3 months ago

Supporting stress
Hi All, Just wanted to put something out there for those of you who are under stress, in case it helps, even a little. When we respond to stress, our bodies use up more magnesium and B vitamins, and Vitamin C than normal. When stress is chronic, it can be really easy to run low on these nutrients.

Co factors blood test
I'll be going for my annual thyroid blood test (I was over active a few years ago) and will ask my gp to also test folate, ferritin, potassium (which was slightly below range last year) and vitamin D. I supplement folate (or a vitamin B complex) and Vitamin D (in winter) on a daily basis. I eat as much

Radium 223
I am hormone-resistant, failed Zytiga after 4 months with PSA up to 61, completed a CT/bone scan in mid January showing bone met progression with some pain, I am scheduled to begin xofgio (radium) next week. I've read some posts here on it as well as others but feel this is my best option after checking

Pernicious Anemia.. Injections and Patches is it safe?
Need a bit of information about transdermal b12 patches? I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia last year.... by a Student doctor! It took around 6 years for the doctors to tell me what all the random pains I was having and nerve issues. My levels of b12 dropped below the normal threshold between 2009

Pain while taking vitamin b complex
Hi, has anyone else suffered with severe abdominal pain whilst taking b complex? It doesn't happen everyday, probably 5 times in 30 days. It starts in my tummy and goes up to my chest and lasts about 10 minutes but makes me feel really rough all day.

Inflammation. [2] Albumin & C-Reactive Protein [CRP]
This follows on from my recent post: "Inflammation. [1] Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR]" Albumin & CRP could justify separate posts, but the Glasgow Prognostic Score formula combines them. [1] Albumin. Albumin is a protein that transports all sorts of things in the blood. For

Inflammation. [1] Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio [NLR]
I have written perhaps too many posts on inflammation & prognosis. Inflammation is a treatable condition, in my view, which means that the patient can improve on his prognosis. There are a number of markers of subclinical inflammation & the NLR is just one of them. It is often included in a basic blood

Chemo while low PSA
Dear brothers, I need some advise/ opinions! I feel I am at a crossroads of sorts. Maybe I even have an opportunity! So thinking 'out-of-the-box' I am considering doing chemo before what would be considered normal standard of care. I have managed to drive my PSA down to 1.1 and in light of
