Is PharmaGaba good or bad for PD folks?
HWP is going to try and get off of gabapentin for his chronic pain, have read this can be very difficult. People have posted (on reddit) it is worse than getting of opiods. That sound pretty scary. Online threads have said taper very slowly and take magnesium and b vitamins. Is PharmaGaba beneficial

Medichecks Blood Results
Hi - I've just got my results back and would be grateful for any feedback and advice - I'm quite new to this although have obediently been chomping down the thyroxin for years. Test was done at 8:30am - no levothyroxin for 24 hours before and no B vitamins taken at all. I'm vegetarian but do eat fish

More curious ponderings - hypochlorhydria
I have another curious pondering if anyone is interested to chip in... Is it correct that PA is a consequence of low stomach acid? And perhaps, as we all invariably age, the stomach is unable to produce enough acid to transport B12 or create IFAB's? I only ask because, after two years of analysing

Transdermal B complex patches - any experience?
Hi I've been looking for B vitamins and have had some suggestions - thank you! I've just come across patches as a way of delivering vits and minerals etc. Same idea as HRT. https://www.patchworksuk.com/product/patch-aid-b12-plus-30-patches/ I know nothing about them. Has anyone used patches and liked

Joint pain.
Does anyone have a suggestion for joint pain? My husband has had prostate removed 2017, on Xtandi for 15 months, then Chemo, now on his 2nd cycle out of 6 of Radium 223. He has about once a week, severe joint pain in his knee. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Tall Allen, look forward to hearing

Stopping Firmagon if castration resistant
The cocktail of painkillers plus Radium 223 is making me very tired at the moment. This may seem like a daft question but what is the position with continuing or stopping Firmagon when you're castration resistant? Is its purpose to control the spread of testosterone that would otherwise make the cancer

Robot assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy - PSA confirms microscopy after surgery
PSA, 7 weeks after surgery, was 0.01 ug/L. Recall microscopy after surgery reported the tumour was no longer prostate confined with capsular penetration and extension into periprostatic fat. Tumour extended very close to the posterior surgical margin but in none of the sections did it reach this margin

Vitamin D
Good afternoon, I have been asked by my gp to take an over the counter B vitamin supplement that contains at least 400mcg of folic acid. I managed to buy Thorne Basic B complex with folate but I am finding the tablets difficult to swallow because of their size. Can anyone recommend another brand of vitamin

Burning pain to side of scapular post several breast ops - anyone have this too?
Dear all Hope you are doing as well as can be. I am really struggling with very bad, deep burning in the area of my upper left back, in-between the shoulder blade and my spine and wondered if anyone else has had this issue post surgery/ies? I have a lot of lumps and spasmed areas anyway, all over

Updated treatment plan for progressing MCRPC
I have started Xgeva and also was able to get a prescription for Estrogel Transdermal gel. Will start Xofigo Radium 223 that was approved last week. I am still taking abiraterone and dexamethasone and it is not working, PSA has been climbing. My Question is, should I switch the abiraterone for

ART Effect Of Adjuvant And Salvage Radiotherapy After Radical Prostatectomy On Urinary Continence
Well, I am 'continent' according to the criteria in this study (a bit old, but not ancient)...of course continence here is defined as "no pads or one safety pad." OK. Now, I went into sRT with a safety pad and was warned by my RO that this had a chance of being 'locked in.' I proceeded anyway

PSA after the radical prostatectomy
I have posted at "the Inspired" looking for answers to my puzzles. Some have responded with helpful insight. I am sill wondering why my PSA does not drop to near zero after radical prostatocmy. My original PSA was 28 and MRI found something suspicious. The surgeon I saw booked a date for removal operation
