As Questran is off limits for the time being, I spoke to my hepatologist who suggest I can substitute Questran Light, colestipol or
I know what
Questran
Light is like, has anybody used either of the other two? If so, what comments do you have on taking them?

Alternative treatment?
Since the itching comes and goes (I have
Questran
for that), and I feel very confused and I am obviously very unhappy about it, my father now suggested me to go to for an alternative treatment... I'm a bit doubtful about that, so I wonder if anybody is getting an alternative treatment...

Anyone every been told in years how much the Urso can slow down the progression of PBC?
I certainly do not want to go back on Urso as my itch is so much less and more controllable since coming off it last Aug than in the 12 yrs since I was diagnosed with just taking the
Questran
Light 2-4 sachets a day.

Hi, anyone else here with a diagnosis of Nodular Regenerative Hyperplasia of Liver?
He takes carvedilol, spirolactone, furosemide, atarax and
questran
. He's also advised to follow a very low-salt diet and drink lots of tonic (for the cramps). I don't know why I've put this in the "Question" section, it's more of a blog; apologies.

Does everyone with raised levels of bilirubin have itch?
Thankfully since been off the urso my itch is fairly mild and quite tolerable and well controlled with just taking about 4
Questran
sachets a day.

Am an oldie on here by sounds of things in relation to how long have had pbc!
I still have the itch but as I said it is well controlled now with
Questran
light. I hope and pray that this will continue to be the case for a very long time to come.

Is there anyone on here who has had pbc for more than 10yrs, suffered with the itch but never been on urso?
I have managed to live with it all this time and using
questran
light has helped but have never gotten rid of it completely.
