Seeking advice on test results, Metavive and suggested next steps
Hi everyone, I’m interested in your observations, suggestions and ideas about the following. I know I’m not alone in experiencing that horrible, sinking moment where, following yet another GP appointment, it becomes increasingly apparent that you’re going to have to become a low-level thyroid expert

Hi. I have been suffering from incontinence back pain, weak legs, very painful to have sex for years at least 12 if not more. I was always very fit. I have two sons who I played squash with swam 100 lengths of our local pool every morning before going to work in my full time job where I lifted heavy

Not the news I was hoping for
Just had my second PSMA/PET scan - the first one was in October and was clear - my PSA had risen to 0.2. My PSA has been jumping around but has trended up the last two months to 2.5. So I went to Mayo for my scan today. Impression 1. Worsening of T9 hypermetabolic lesion (miPSMA score 3). 2. New

where to go next?
Hi all. I am looking for advice/suggestions on which way to go next. Obviously GP's are not interested. I have multiple signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism, with a strong family history on one side of my family, and it's probable on the other too-we're not the best at communicating. I test low FT4 via

Can anyone recommend a travel insurance company that will

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I last made a post. I started armour last September after being on a high dose of thyrogold for years and I’m still trying to find my dose on armour. I have gradually worked up to 3 grains which has been a rocky and rather arduous task (low iron and low cortisol

Contraindication question
I am taking NDT ERFA 1.5 grains a day. I plan to take Hawthorne tincture to reduce my high blood pressure along with Elderflower tincture for calming. Does anyone know of contraindications with the NDT?

Best use of Psa to guide intermittent hormone therapy
presently on relugolix + Darolutamide for local reccurrence and will go off these drugs if Psa is less than .65 three months ago tested and go back on when Psa reaches 3-5.. Seems it will be about 6months and hopefully 6 months off, Tentative protocol so far. Input from all and for all welcomed. Thanks

strange cramping
I recently- well- a few weeks back - ran out of my NDT and not had the funds to replace. I use the Thai ones. I don’t know if a coincidence but I’ve started getting cramps or pains in different places like under my ribs, behind my shoulder blades or perhaps when I turn my neck. In feet too (but these

Xtandi
Pet scan Aug 8, 2022 showed 5 lymph nodes with CA. Urologist started me on Xtandi and referred me to an Oncologist who started Degarelix injections. Oct 25, 2022 stopped taking Xtandi due to intolerable side effects; started Bicalutamide. PSA was 0.47 in Oct with gradual increase to 4.8 in Apr. Oncologist

Effect of low endogenous testosterone
PSA now at 7.9. Biopsy showed 1 sample was Gleason 8. Starting ADT and radiation soon. Have had low testosterone (<150 ng/ml) most of my life. Non-existent libido, depression and tired most of the time. Recent studies have shown that aggressive prostate cancer more common in people with low testosterone

Vacation time again
I had the follow up appt with my MO. My PSA is down a notch to 0.2. We decided to follow the original plan of intermittent ADT and I’m starting another ADT vacation. This round of ADT had started with minimal SE’s but in the last month or so it’s gotten worse. My energy level has noticeably decreased

Does anyone know what it means when your temperature wobbles more than 0.5c, but cortisol is actually not LOW, but high? I was not on any kind of supplements at the time of this test. But I did wake up once during the night before waking again in the morning. I was also a bit stressed at the time I did
