NDT medication
Hello All, I don't want to break any forum rules or guidance. I am beginning to feel so desperate that I will obtain some Armour/thyroid s to try and get myself sorted out since the NHS medical route is in a dead end. If possible could anyone with experience of self medicating/buying this sort of medication

Canada's Tania Sona Smith - Powerful summary of recent BTA's twitter arguments against T3
Please read this! Someone (we have our suspicions) from BTA has been tweeted alarming things recently and is causing outrage amongst thyroid patients. It is on the Thyroid Patients Canada Facebook page, for this on FB. I've copied it here:

PSA hovering around 1 even after a year on ADT + Enza, should we insist on Triplet Therapy ?
Hi All, My Father was diagnosed with Advanced PCa with extensive bone mets but no visceral spread last November. His PSA at dx was 325 and Gleason was 4+5 with all cores positive. His treatment started off with 10 sessions of Palliative RT followed by combination of Degarelix + Enzaluatmide + Denosumab

Hypo symptoms worse when sitting?
Hi all! Had a quick query, and recognise the title might sound a bit bonkers! I have Hashi's, diagnosed in March, initially on thyroxine, but then moved onto NDT in September and have been generally feeling better than I was... I had a bit of a break from work for lots of reasons but started a new job

Advice on options for self medication please
After three years on a three month trial of T3 I’ve finally given up! Every three months I have to fight my corner to keep getting t3 because my TSH is suppressed. I received suggestions here a while ago to reduce my meds prior to my appointment as it seemed the only way to ensure my hormone levels

hypersensitive to T3
Hi there, I had a thyroidectomy years ago and have been on T4 (levo) only for majority of the time, I sourced NDT to try get some T3 but found I had high reverse T3. I am now taking 100mcg T4 (levo) and started T3 (liothyronine) but find I am very sensitive to the T3. I started with 5mcg in the morning

Tru-Thyroid 1/2 grain
Does anyone know if Natural Noon (Cambodia) still exists? In the past, I have been able to buy 1/2 grain tablets of TruThyroid, but I can't find the company now. Perhaps it no longer exists? Please PM me if there is another company I can buy 1/2 grain tablets of NDT.

Question for the Brain Trust, what am I missing!
I want to thank everybody who replied to my earlier question regarding a treatment decision. I got my PSMA results back today and it showed no spread or evidence of distant metastic disease. All seems contaimed to the Prostate. No nodal or bone spread. However I do have Gleason 8 ( 3+5) and "likely

Stopping NDT cold turkey - how long till I experience symptoms?
Never got on with Levo. Kind of thought I got on ok with NDT and have been taking it for 3 years now but maybe I was treating the TSH level and not actual symptoms. Initially I thought the NDT worked but I also started testosterone therapy at a similar time and maybe it was this that really gave me

Stay or Go
3-1/2 years of ADT +Zytiga, Prednisone, and Xgeva and I've developed Osteopenia, and near Osteoporosis (-2.3) in femoral neck, (-1.5 spine and hip) and fractured T11 vertebra . My thoughts are that this is directly related to the ADT. My question is, with a psa at 0.21 is an ADT vacation a good idea,

Does PSA settle after treatment?
Before I was diagnosed, so long as my PSA was within the acceptable range, (59 yrs - less than 3.5) I was considered healthy. But now the goal is to maintain a really low PSA ( undetectable or less than 1) How will I ever know if it will naturally stabilise if I keep on ADT? Thoughts? DD 😎.

Phase 2 EXTEND randomised trial finds adding metastasis directed therapy with radiation to intermittent hormone therapy improves outcomes.
Howard Sandler, MD, Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, California, and president-elect of ASTRO, noted that the current study shows a substantial delay in time to progression with MDT. “I was surprised pleasantly with the magnitude of the effect,” Dr Sandler

Castrate Resistant Pre-Indicator
While you were on ADT, did you notice fewer or shorter term side effects to the shots as your treatment progressed? Could that be an indication that you were becoming castrate resistant? I am noticing that I am not experiencing as much fatigue and fewer hot flashes than I used to. I am about 18 months

Diagnostic laparoscopy
For as many years as I can remember I've been struggling with excruciating pelvic pain, extending to my legs and lower back. Missed many days at school, laying with my knees up my chest and crying in pain. Now it's not getting any better, I'm missing work days, my sexual life is ruined due to pain, can't
