Ectopic beats and oxygen levels
I don't know if it's
PVC
or PAC and don't know if one is more dangerous than the other. My questions are... can these skipped beats cause false oxygen stats reading?

Confused.
Hi, my latest spirometry test showed that my fev/fvc ratio had increased by 3% but my fev1 was down by 1%. Can anyone explain this as I just don't understand how that could happen? Thanks in advance.

Soot exposure and chronic bronchitis
I have done something really stupid. I had a fire in my kitchen in October 2014. The damage from the fire itself was not very large, but there was a LOT of smoke development, so afterwards, the whole apartment was covered in a thick layer of soot. I did not realize how hazardous soot can be, and decided

Associated symptoms of PVCs
Does anyone with these suffer from nausea, lightheadedness and frequent bouts of pins and needles in hands and feet? Looks as though I have PVCs from my last Alivecor reading . Saw doc last week who thought some of these symptom is the excessive wax in my ears. Waiting for results of Holtor monitor

Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation on Eliquis
Background: Some where around 20 years ago I was told that I had benign PVC's and was given Metoprolol 25mg twice a day. Eight years ago I had a coronary angiogram done and everything looked good and was told I had good heart function. Recently I started having lightheartedness, low energy and something

First spirometry result
So saw the practice nurse who is lovely. Did the spiro test and results are FEV1 77, FVC 90, FEV1/FVC 92. Apparently, my chest xray shows clear lungs but written note 'background changes of emphysema' which is the direct quote the receptionist gave me which put the fear of god into me. 2days after

Lung Function Test results
Good morning all I have just received my most recent set of PFT results which state that my lung function is stable. This is the bit that Doctors pay attention to yet, when I look at my results, I see (over the course of a year & 3 sets of PFT's) a PEF on spirometry that has fallen from 6.5 to 4.6,

Copd dx age 40
I smoked for about 20 years, recently quit and had a pft I am 40 years Old. FVC 5.02. 98% of predicted FEV1 3.65 89% predicted Fev1/fvc is 73% Since I am currently 40 and Doctor says this is mild Copd, will it impact My life span and quality of life? Doc says to not smoke and not worry. However

Thank you
Thank you to everyone who responded to my post. I should of explained and introduced myself better yesterday evening. I have end stage emphysema or stage 4 as it is also known. My consultant is in the process of referring me to meet the transplant team here in Newcastle England. I've never really understood

Need positive reinforcement!
Looking for strength! Not finding it in myself. I have been dealing with this SOB for almost a year. I have a pretty massive amount of air in my lungs, yes RV over 300%! But normal FEV1, wonder how long that will last. I asked for a CT scan, and I hope to get tomorrow or Thursday. Just need to see if
