WHEEZE WHEEZE WHEEZE!!
Hi all 😊 Since being diagnosed with COPD In June this year the past few months I've been noticing that I'm wheezing, creaking and squeeking, so much so that I make my little dog jump and bark she's wondering where the strange noises are coming from!! The wheezing seems to get worse throughout the day

I have recently been diagnosed with emphysema. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and to start taking the drug for this I had to have spirometry tests. My FEV1 was 95% but transfer rate was 56% but had a cigarette walking to the hospital (I have since given up the ciggies) I was sent for a scan

Results of Spirometry - help
Hello everyone! I just stumbled across this site while searching for some answers. I was hoping I could get some help. My results of spirometry are concerning. Actally, I'm very scared at this point. 37 years old. Smoked 15years. Quit ten years ago. But took a job that exposed me to dust for 10 years

Lung overinflation
So I went to the Pulmo a couple days ago and had full PFT's. I posted here a couple times prior. Anyway, my FEV/FVC was 69, then to 71 post Albuterol. So not much change. FEV1 105%, maybe 108 post. Again not much change. Airway resistance normal. DLCO normal. But my lung volumes not. TLC, RV, TLC/RV

Are these ectopics? I'm so scared!
Hi all, my first post, so anxious right now. I've had palpitations for a while. Had an echo, stress test and holter monitor. It's picked up a couple of PACS and PVCS which I felt. But I also get on occasion a few palpitations when I lay on my left hand side in bed. I feel my pulse and it's irregular

Have an EP evaluate you
I live in the US (I get the sense that many on this forum are in the UK). I had a 21 day event monitor report that said I had all kinds of weird and scary things, like AF, A flutter, PVCs, and even ventricular tachycardia (which can become the fatal ventricular fibrillation!) My regular cardiologist

Hydro vs pred
Hiya. My asthma has been going downhill over the past few days after quite a good stint. Although peak flow is not a good indicator for me, the GP (and AUK nurse) have recommended a course of oral steroids. A couple of years ago I was put on pred and had awful side effects. After that the specialist

Need thoughts, advice from people with COPD. Long post, but bear with me
All, In Jan this year, I had acute onset of dyspnea, chest heavyness, audible wheezing, like a whistling when I exhaled. I was smoking at the time, been smoking off and on since I was a teen, I am 43 now. I have had some long periods when I didn't smoke. This last time was for about 4 months, pack every

Reduction in Flecainide and PVC's - any advice please?
Morning all I'm now in my third week of a reduced dose of Flecainide - down from 2 x 100mg gradually to 2 x 50mg. In that time I've had no AF or tachycardia but in the last week (on 2 x 50mg) have had several half-hour runs of PVC's, coming every 2nd, 3rd, 6th beat, singly and randomly. I could better

Are these PVC's?
Can anyone recognise these peculiar beats please? My AliveCor cannot classify them but they feel like premature beats without the pause and racing. Any help appreciated.

spirometry result
hello everyone! i just got the results of my spirometry. it says: comments: -spirometry result is of good quality based on standards set by the ATS-ERS -fev1/fvc = normal -fvc = normal interpretation: -no significant bronchodilator response -normality of the parameter is based on the Morris-Polgar
