I’ve never been a great user of the “like” button, not because I don’t like posts but only because mostly I just nod or smile and move on. However, having had fifteen likes for a recent comment on frose’s inhaler post I’ll try to remember more often because it was so good to see them: reassuring me

Bronchiectasis
Hi, im still finding my way around on here. I was diagnosed with COPD in 2018 but today I was told that I also have bronchiectasis. I have been poorly on and off since October and have had a chest infection, been treated with steroids and antibiotics. The doctor has changed my inhaler from trimbow

Any tips on managing Autoimmune and Long Covid
I have 4 autoimmune diseases, Hashimotos, hyper parathyroid, coeliac disease and pernicious anaemia and now Long Covid which appears to have put all the rest into over drive. I desperately want to be seen not by the usual suspects of specialists endocrinologists, cardiologist, neurologist, opthamologist

Movement = Medicine. Podcast recommendation.
Just wanting to recommend listening to Kali Dayton’s podcast ‘Walking Home From The ICU’…..it helped me so much during my rehabilitation…..especially facing the reality, the trauma experience. Iv cried, Iv laughed, Iv taken strength from it. She has also started a ‘Walking you through the ICU’ podcast

Any insight on these results?
My mum's results - she's on 175 Levo and 15 T3. She already takes a D supplement, which I guess will need increasing. She stopped all biotin supplements 4 days before we did the test. She took no thyroid meds the morning of the test. This is the first time the test has come back showing low cortisol,

Good morning, I have been tested for COPD since 2017. I am taking BREO Ellipta & Spiriva in the mornings, also Salbutamol HFA 100UG when needed. Now I have had these these two flareups. Brilliant doctor!
My daughter is 3 and recently the doctor gave us an inhaler with a spacer for her. The doctor was great at showing us how to use it and had my daughter and I singing ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ while the mask was on. This helped to distract her and made her start breathing naturally, and in good time

Breathless and wheezy
Hi everyone, I am looking for some advice for my husband who is nearly 89 and was diagnosed with emphysomatic fibrosis about two years ago. He has not been too bad until 6 months ago when when he started getting more breathless and wheezy. The Salamol inhaler doesn’t help at all, the Bradosyl helps

How reliable is a spirometer in accessing asthma severity or a flare up? My 62 year old daddy on a ventilator from covid complications and lung scarring.
My dad has been fighting covid pneumonia for almost 4 weeks now. He has been on the ventilator for 15 days requiring 90-100% with very fast breaths(BiLevel). He is able to keep his stats in the 90s right now. The doctors say he now has lung scarring which can't be corrected. He is on dialysis now as

Montelukast
Can anyone on Montelukast tell me if it helps?. Finally managed to see my asthma nurse today & was prescribed it alongside Fostair. I’m confused if it’s a long term thing or a short term thing? I’m just really hoping it helps because I seem to be attached to my blue inhaler quiet a lot lately!
