SYMBICORT 'CLICK' QUESTION
Dear enquirer, Twist the inhaler once clockwise to hear the 'click' and release one dose of Symbicort. You have to twist the inhaler back to the starting point to prepare another dose... then twist clockwise again to hear a second 'click' and release the second dose etc. I hope this helps you.

Do you think it would be possible to switch from a normal ventolin inhaler to an Easi-Breathe by IVAX?
Hi all, I play a lot of sport and struggle with my asthma whilst doing so. I am currently on a brown inhaler also. When i’m breathless I struggle with the mechanics of timing the normal spray ventolin. Do u recon they’d allow me to try the one which it’s pressured release ie the ivax easi-breathe?

Skin reactions to fostair
started fostair just under 2 years ago . Wasn’t happy with it from the start . Asthma seemed worse . Couldn’t sleep . I suffer from severe eczema . This has been appalling since going on fostair . It’s so bad that I’ve reached the point where I need prednisone for my eczema . Obviously my asthma is much

Hi just wondering if it matters whether you get the " click " on the first or second twist of the inhaler? Not really sure why one has to twist twice -presumably the click activates the counter but does the other one open the inhaler or is it all irrelevant!Im only asking because previous inhalers

So it continues 😢 input please....
Hey folks, bear with me, for those that have not come across my story It started with a vape, woke up couldn’t breathe, felt like my lungs were filled with fluid, not sick, just hacking up a lung. Got marginally better 5 days in then 100 x worse.... 7 days doxycycline, didn’t help. Steroid inhalers.

Should I reduce or stop my running? - low peak flow and low oximetry readings recently & after running
I've recently been running more and more in preparation for a half marathon. However, my peak flow has dropped and I've been taking more ventolin and more becotide inhalors. I'm male 5'7'' 44yo and my good peak flow is about 450 but the best I've blown in the last year is about 430. Good for me is

Monteleukast and uncontrolled asthma
I am a 22 year old young adult. My asthma has deteriorated since last month, so my doctor advised I used monteleukast. For those with severe asthma, did it ever improve your symptoms. Because I now use my reliever inhaler up to 5 times a day and this scares me a lot

Understanding "usual" reaction to Blue Inhaler and Prednisolone
Hello all, Thanks very much to those who responded to my post last week about my recent worsening symptoms. I've gone to the doctor and agreed on an upped dose and some steroids short tem. I want to understand something from the community that I have not been able to understand from my asthma nurse.

Newly diagnosed with exercise induced asthma.
Started C25K last summer and completed it. I was sooo chuffed! I found it hard but I didn’t give up. Winter came, the cold air and wind was hard to contend with and I found it hard going again. I persevered and got to a stage of managing 5K every other day. Spring sprung and that did me in! Pollen!

Finally seen the respiratory consultant!
This weekend I had my appointment with the respiratory/ asthma consult after waiting around 6 months due to COVID. It was overall very positive and the doctor was lovely and really took the time to listen to me, and agreed that my level of control isn’t acceptable at all. He sent off some bloods to

Advice please?
Hi all I wondered if anyone had any knowledge on the effects of stopping steroid nasal sprays for 3 weeks then changing to another brand? Would this restart asthma symptoms? I had a new asthma diagnosis and felt very lucky to become to be under control for 5 weeks! Taking : 100 fostair 4 puffs a day

Active Tb
Hello all, I am writing to share my story. I am a doctor myself as well. My symptoms started 6 months ago. I felt difficulty in breathing while climbing stairs. At this time I consulted a doctor, had an xray which mistakenly was thought to be normal and was started on bronchodilators for query exercise

Breathing worries

Shallow breathing for days
Hello all, I was diagnosed with asthma about a year ago right in the middle of lockdown at the beginning of the pandemic. What a stressful time for a lung condition to develop! I've been okay since September/October but now, at almost exactly the same time as it originally came on, I'm experiencing quite

Split fingertips?
I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma 2 years ago following a couple of bouts of pneumonia. I am In the severe category as I have pretty brutal attacks. What I have noticed is that an attack is accompanied with split fingertips. Especially my thumb and forefinger. I don’t notice any obvious cyanosis
