Has anyone used trelegy in the treatment of COPD and did they find it better or worse than their current medication. is trelegy superior to symbicort?

I was on Braltus and Relvar together in recent years, and then the last year on Trelergy only (with Ventolin as and when) I found Trelergy like a shot in the arm in the beginning. Felt great, so much easier to breathe. However the initial effects only lasted a couple of weeks for me. It's ok, settled down to being average, like the combination I was on before. I've had no side effects at all, but do be sure to rinse/gargle after using it. It was touted as the best thing going for COPD when first up before the regulators. It was in the US a couple of years before being NICE approved. I once found a US lung disease website that was talking about it. Common theme from patients' experience was that the almost euphoric effect was short lived, sadly 😕.

I hope you get on with it well, I'm happy enough and it's less trouble than the two I was on before 🙂

I was on Trelegy for about 6 months, but I was very breathless by night, and I also had oral Thrush, even following instructions on washing mouth etc. I told the consultant last week and she has changed me to TRIMBOW. . Has anyone. Any experience with that.. I had bee n on SERETIDE and BRAILTUS for years and was quite happy with those

I was on Trelegy for about 2 months and then I had a problem with my right eye and have had to wait for 2 years to go to hospital I have been attending hospital now for 6 months and have had to have injections in my eye. As I had a problem I went back on to Symbicort and Braitus and ventolin after the 2 months I didnt feel any better on the Trelegy the Covid problem hasnt helped being kept in for a couple of years I am going to try and get back to exercising indoors, that seems to be best for breathing, hope this helps.

Been using trelegy Elipta for a couple of years one puff in the morning and it has certainly helped me. I was on Symbicort before

Was on Trelegy when triple therapy inhalers were first introduced a while back. Previously used Seretide and Tiotropium which worked well for me. On Trelegy, I felt like I'd hit a brick wall by lunchtime - I really struggled. Consultant put me on Trimbow which is twice a day. Took about 4 weeks before I felt any better. Been on it nearly a year now and probably similar outcome to Seretide and Tiotropium. Was hoping it might be better, but perhaps that was asking too much!

Hi my husband has been on Trelegy for about 2 years. Finding it harder to take a deep breath when taking the Trelegy the Respiratory Nurse suggested he tried Trimbow. He is in the third week of trying it. He feels he is getting the whole dose as he uses it with a spacer. We will see with time, hope it continues to make him feel better

I have been on Trimbow for about two years and have not looked back, however, same as you, the effect is much better using a spacer.
