Salamol not as good!
I have tried to get on with Salamol but it just doesn’t work as well for me as Salbutamol. My asthma attacks always quickly abated with Ventolin but the new Salamol not only takes ages to ease my asthma attacks, but more often than not it just doesn’t work at all!I also feel as though I have not inhaled

Bronchitis
I have been coughing on and off for about a month, a few days ago I started feeling really ill. I phoned the surgery and was given an appointment with a nurse practitioner who confirmed it was bronchitis and not a chest infection and gave a prescription for a salbutamol inhaler. Should I be concerned

Hi everyone. I’m having a pretty rubbish time. We flew to Cyprus a week past Saturday for 10 nights. I’ve been in bed since last Wednesday with somewhat odd symptoms. Tight chest very hot shooting pains everywhere & headache from hell. Stomach seemed upset too. Oh & palpitations. I ignored the tight

COPD medications
My mum was diagnosed with COPD and asthma over 10 years ago (though most probably had it much longer than that). She is increasingly breathlessness on any exersion, but Dr's don't feel she needs oxygen as her levels settle to acceptable levels quickly. However they feel that her condition is uncontrolled

Has the Pulsed Field Ablation technique increased success rate?
Although Flecainide 50mg bid has kept AF episodes to a much lower frequency, 6 in ‘23, I’d like to hear from a few more of you who have undergone this new procedure. What are the results; is the blanking period shorter; anyone had it done at Royal Bournemouth Hospital? I hear reports that it’s much

Carbomer eye gel
Good morning. I was at the ophthalmologist yesterday getting umpteen scans and things due to taking hydroxychloroquine. I have very dry eyes once the UV starts to increase (usually February so bang on time). The ophthalmologist gave me carbomer eye gel to use before I go to bed and told me to continue

Allergic Asthma
Hi AllLooking for advice or perhaps just to know that I'm not alone and someone else found their way off this merry go round. I'm a 59 year old Developer and was very keen on sport all my life. Both my grandfather's died of lung "disease" (I watched one taking his last breaths, horrible). My GP warned

Severe Eosinophilic Asthma
Hi does anyone on here suffer from Severe Eosinophilic Asthma? My husband has been very incapacitated by this since March 2020 which came on suddenly and has not improved since then despite continuous steroids, inhalers and trying the latest injections. He’s had to pack up his business and still cannot

5mg ventolin nebules
Sadly GSK have ceased to manufacture the 5mg ventolin nebules. Are there any other severe brittle and unstable asthmatics out there that feel their asthma is no longer under control. I am also on fostair 200 but certainly since I was switched over to a generic salbutamol 5mg nebule which I have to nebulise
