No asthma after all?
Today I finally had a provocation test. After the fifth substance my test results were only down by 10%, which probably means I don't have asthma. It started with the first substance already, but after that last substance I was out of breath when speaking more than 3 words or walking, and it felt like

Hi has anyone taking rivaroxaban had a tooth removed, and how long before should you stop taking it . I think it only last in the system for 24 hours. I will ask the dentist, but would like your views on this.My dentist has said it would be best to have it remove at hospital. Also the injection should

Saw doctor today. All test were clear which is great but he also said I had a negative blood test for ApS.
He looked at my notes and i had a negative test before my son was born but I was still given asprin and fragmin. He repeated the test and will do again in 3 months. If negative again he might take me off warfarin. Im so confused !!! Anyone else had the same thing ? Xx

Progression of Emphysema.
Why does Emphysema progress even if you stop smoking? I know the lung volume declines with age just like every other part of the body but why does Emphysema progress if you don't do anything to agitate it?

Question about long haul air travel
I had a dvt in my right leg from behind my knee to my ankle last August. Was on warfarin for 3 months and am doing fine now. Doctor says if I have another dvt will be on anticoagulant for life. Cause of my dvt was a double genetic mutation. I love to travel and especially enjoy cruises, but am nervous

Rats and Little Mouses...
There is a little animal under the sitting room windowsill...inside...not outside and he or she chews away happily half the night...I sleep on the settee as you know and the settee is right under the window, so in the middle of night, when it's fairly dark and reasonably quiet, that chewing sounds quite

Writing Stories...
I do find writing stories or articles easy enough...most especially when the gist of them come from personal memories where there is no need to be precise or exact over names and dates or places. Those I find more difficult are those which need to be factual...for instance, I began yesterday to write

Someone stole my oxygen
Right, here's an odd one. I don't think anyone had similar experiences, but it's worth a shot. I had a first asthma attack in July last year and have been fine every since, doing a lot of rather hard sport and having a good time. These last two weeks I had a rather annoying cold that has moved down

Rivaroxaban v warfarin
Hi. My GP rang me yesterday and wondered if I would be interested in going on to Rivaroxaban. I know this is one of the new drugs but I have been on warfarin for 13 years! She said it would avoid having my INR done and I would not have to worry about testing when we went away. But to be honest that

I read that feces matter can be used to fight/ cure C-DIFF
I wonder can this cure Colitis & Reflux. Both these problems surface after a colonoscopy. I am now on Lialda, with folic acid as well as Dexilant. Two of these medications have extremely high co-pays and there is nothing less costly to take. I supplement with probiotics. I still get bouts of the

Off Warfarin and restarting
Came off warfarin due to having two colonoscopies two weeks apart. I'm on warfarin for afib permanent. I'm taking 75ml of heparin innohep daily to bridge. Going to have another colonoscopy again in two weeks and then restart warfarin again. Consultant said it's pointless going on and off warfarin and
