Why is it so hard?!
I have a letter from the GP in Oz asking for my doctor to refer me to an Endocrinologist as elevated calcium isn't normal and to query the
PTH
level.

Parathyroid Blood results - too low or normal. Can anyone interpret them please?
My
PTH
is consistently at the bottom of the range . Is this ok. My Calcium levels seem ok as do my Vitamin B12. I hope someone has some knowledge of the parathyroids because these pins and needles are so annoying. My endo thinks the results are fine. Many thanks Xx

Thyroid & Parathyroid Help :-(
My
PTH
was 32.2Ng/L in Nov and today it came back at 61.7Ng/L (Australian Ranges 15.0-68.0 Ng/L) so it's doubled in the past 2 months! My AST & ALT (Liver Tests) have also come back elevated.

My Surgery has just phoned to inform me I have very low Vit d levels. I am hypo on NDT
I have searched the net about low Vit D and wanted to ask you good folk what further tests I should ask for. My main concern is why my levels are low? I will be asking for calcium tests to see what levels are in my blood and urine, also parathyroid hormone levels. I have been hypo for over 4

Sun phobia behind Vitamin D deficiency
This winter, I've noticed some back-pedalling in the usual sun safe messages we get in the media. Coincidentally, an interesting piece (below) has just been published regarding the growing number of Australians with low levels of Vitamin D and what we should be doing about it. As in all things, we
