My latest results - do I need T3?
I apologize in advance for lengthy post but don’t want to miss anything important. I have Hashimoto and been on levothyroxine for last 4 years. Recently I increased my levothyroxine dose from 125mcg to 150mcg. Although increasing it was a nightmare, I have made it and am on 150mcg for last 3 months.

Iron related blood results
Note TSH 1.96miu/L (0.4-4.0) up from 1.15 six months ago and
PTH
2 pmol/L (1.2-5.8) up from 1.1 6m ago. Can anyone advise on the relevance of the iron results and also the likelihood of a thyroid problem? Note I plan to have T3 and antibody tests soon.

Question re further tests to be carried out by GP
At the PAS conference it was suggested by one of the speakers that I try introducing Methylcobalamin into my regime substituting it for some of my daily Hydroxocobalamin injections since I have various neurological problems and also extreme heat intolerance. My body starts to shut down in anything above

Please can I have some advice? Google is making things worse!
I've recently been having some really unpleasant symptoms, extreme tiredness, vertigo and joint pain to name a few. I was referred to my local hospital neurology department for further investigations, and subsequently I had an MRI scan done, I'm currently waiting for those results. They took bloods

Hypothyroid with Bradycardia
I have been agonising over this for days and nights but suddenly thought about putting my quandary to our wonderful thyroid group, sorry its a bit long... My 92 year old Mum, taking T4 for decades for hypothyroidism was recently diagnosed with mild hyperparathyroidism and given cinacalcet for high calcium

Latest set of results - please help
I've had my latest set of results back from the Endocrinologist. These were carried out first thing in the morning after fasting: TSH 11.340 mU/L (0.270-4.200) Free T4 14.27 pmol/L (12-22) Free T3 4.5 pmol/L (3.1-6.8) He ran a bone profile test - nothing has been flagged up. Not certain if these are

Cortisol and ACTH Test
My vitamin D is down to 25 now but calcium is normal at 9.8 and
pth
is in normal range now too. I did start supplementing again but only at 2000 iu now due to symptoms of back pain and urination/headaches at a higher dose. B12 is still high at over 2000 but the homocystine test was normal.

Advice on bloods please.
Serum total 25-hydroxy vitamin D level 70.0 nmol/L Musculoskeletal symptoms or fatigue are unlikely to be due to a vitamin D <30 nmol/L if calcium, alkaline phosphatase and
PTH
are normal. Such symptoms would NOT be expected at vitamin D levels >30 nmol/L.

Help with Results Please?
Hi everyone, I've just got results back from the doctors and I'll give previous results as well. But I have literally all the symptoms and a family history for Graves and Hashimoto's and other autoimmune conditions. I also have (through all this testing) been diagnosed with celiacs. They want to look

Low Vit D- testing PTH
GP said the protocol from here with low Vit D would be to test my
PTH
levels. I just wondered if it was advisable to test calcium at the same time and whether anyone else has been tested for this based on their results? Thanks Shibbs

GP Visit post rheumy Appt
He also told me to chase up hospital if I don't hear from them about parathyroid scan as my
PTH
levels are high and have been climbing for the past 4 years. So because of that he is also sending me for a full body BMD test to see what stage the damage to my bones is at.

Severe Depression with TSH at 4.02
I am so grateful for the posts this week helping with my own hypothyroidism diagnosis. I have also been caring for my poor dad who has had severe depression/anxiety for almost 2 years now. This followed prostate cancer scares and almost losing him to a hospital bug 3 years ago so he has had a rough

I still think I need t3...
This has also resulted in my
pth
being above normal range at 8.3pmol (upper ref is 6.4) though calcium is mid range. I discussed t3 with the endo but he isn't willing to prescribe as there is no reliable option with steady time release so you get a big hit then nothing.

Here'so hoping...
OK so I've taken the plunge and sourced some t3. For those who have seen previous posts I am convinced I have a conversion problem. Brief history... partial thyroidectomy 10 yrs ago. Put straight on levo. Put on weight gradually then about 4 stone when pregnant and have never managed to lose. T3
