11yo school refusal when with mom, aggression
My son is 11, and newly in middle school. He has ADHD, ODD, and is mildly dyslexic. He’s on Qelbree and clonidine. He sees a psychiatrist and a just started with a new child psychologist. The first month of school was ok, then something changed and he did not want to go to school. Said everyone is mean

Hello folks. My name is Melanie. I can't say what a relief it is to have found a community for this after feeling so alone and misunderstood for as long as I have. Before I get too ahead of myself though, I'll start with some background info. I was recently officially diagnosed (at 33) with ADD Inattentive

At the end of my rope
I'm a 31 y/o male and I'm just at my wits end. Part of my biggest stuggle with anxiety (for me) is when you're at your absolute worst, there's nothing that can be done. I've dealt with anxiety since 2012, depression since 2010, and have had my major ups and downs, as I'm sure we all have. Right now I'm

Need a friend
I'm 67 . I'm a mother, grandmother and recently a great grandmother. I love with my boyfriend of 101/2 years. I've suffered from depression and anxiety forever and I'm sick of it. I believe it stems mostly from sexual, verbal and emotional abuse since a child. I'm tired of it all. Tried many antidepressants

Seeking Understanding
I've had a random onset of severe anxiety and panic attacks. It started with one panic attack and since then I have been constantly making effort to direct my thoughts and body. I am exhausted and scared. My panic attacks include my hands, arms, face, and sometimes neck all becoming paralyzed. I can't

Unsure why I'm unable to initiate conversations.
I've been going to therapy for the past 3 years. I like my therapist and feel she has been able a stable ear in my frustrations in life whether it be school, work, or other issues. The main goal I've been wanting to accomplish was making friends and widening my circle of friends. However, I've attempted

Struggling...
So, I've been struggling the last several months. Much moreso than my normal day-to-day struggles. I posted about one: my recent prostate cancer diagnosis. That was difficult to hear. Early on I made the choice to have a prostatectomy. Shortly afterwards I started feeling tons of anxiety. Not necessarily

9yo ADHD and at my wits end
my son was diagnosed with ADHD around age 5 (late pre-k/early K) just as the pandemic hit and the world locked down. It was hell and there were no resources to help us. He is sweet, sensitive and whip-smart… but can’t seem to get out of his own way. We started medication at the end of 1st grade at

I'm not a completely different person, more like the child of the old me, and I'm growing up into my new self.I've been chatting to my therapist

shew. What an intense experience. Started with my therapist today and will continue to work on it daily with my husband. Basically I made a hierarchy of physical symptoms I have with panic and then one by one I will purposely cause those symptoms and learn to sit with the discomfort. For example moving

I did this to myself
I am getting mixed advise from my Psychiatrist and my therapist. I am trying to deal with some debt it is going to take years to pay it back. My Psychiatrist told me to file for bankruptcy. Said someone with my level of disability = depression, I would be better off getting rid of the pressure and stress

I need support but it's an uncomfortable theme to talk on
It burns my brain so much. At least i just got to my accommodation. But im sensitive to everything, my place is small, i was chasing spiders, i feel nauseous and panicy. I will go home. But it's the weekend coming and mom would be home and not at work and probably drinking and i don't know if i can talk

I want to feel normal again :(
I have been dealing with so much, I don't even know where to start. In January, I accepted a position that relocated me to a different state with mor pay. During the move, I lost my cousin in a hit and run, my dad passed away, once I got settled in the new home, my job retracted my contract and made

Therapy over my Therapy
In my last post I mentioned that I am starting a new relationship and that we have plans to meet again soon. We have our second date planned for tommorrow. My last post was about having OCD on where to meet her. Today, I had a therapy session with an OCD specialist because I had been questioning obsessively

My BF pushed me away really hard last night (not physically)
Some background: We have an open phone policy due to past mistakes on his part. He agreed to the open phone policy. I am easily paranoid by Itty bitty things. He had his phone turned slightly away from me while we were watching a movie. So I asked to see his phone and saw he had Google open so I wanted
